Re: Our 3 most `influential` loan signings
I was going to suggest Creaney. Seem to remember him scoring a big goal away at Luton in front of the Burnley fans? (memory might be wrong). Burnley have done pretty well over the years with loan signings, surely better than average? Memory very much correct on the goal at Luton - Creaney was defin...

The ones we've got are Reg Kirkham (1st Burnley player from left on back row) and Colin McDonald next to him.
Second Burnley player from left on front row looks a bit like Warren Joyce so it is potentially his dad Walter?

I think we paid 5 grand for Pickering. +1 for Paul Shaw. He seemed to score every home game while he was on loan with us. I really wanted us to buy him but he wasn't interested in moving up north. Nathan Peel looked good on loan but didn't do much when we made the deal permanent. I remember a "peel...

£89 for a Champions League ticket
Sevilla are charging Manchester United (away) fans £89 for tickets for their Champions League game. MU have retaliated. Sevilla fans will be charged £89 at Old Trafford with the club using the extra money to subsidise their own fans.
Prices continue to get ridiculous.

Influenced a lot of people`s thoughts about how a centre half could play football after the dross we had been served up from the late 80s. Certainly criminal to demolish the Odeon, (what an Art Deco gem it was), but I think you're wrong with the date. I think it closed in 1973 and was demolished almost immediately and replaced by a Sainsburys. (Sainsburys later relocating to its current site). It definitely closed in 1973 but, from me...
