I’d no idea that the players were part timers. I just thought that they were professional footballers, albeit on very low pay. Astonishing! I think that they worked at the pit so they wouldn't have to do national service which still applied at the time. That certainly wasn't the case with Meredith ...

I don't know whether we will do it or not but, right now, it is more than a possibility I'd think.

This is not 7th after a handful of games but after 26, over two thirds of the season played and with only two games remaining against the top six.

Is it still a realistic possibility - has to be, yes.

A wonderful afternoon of football. Pope - 7 - A couple of good saves and his handling under pressure was sure, but in truth he wasn't extended many times by City. Bardsley - 6 - Thought he stuck to the task pretty well in the first half, and actually for the first 15 minutes he wasn't on the pitch,...

It really is going from bad to worse at Blackpool. It appears Owen has fallen out with Karl so shunted him out of the way and placed his daughter Natalia in as chairman. Suggestion is that Owen wants to keep control of the club whilst Karl was of the view that they should get rid.

Awful situation.
