Re: Dyche critics
Would've been down weeks ago . Most platers weren't happy sooooo.....
Re: Dyche critics
We'd have been relegated 6 weeks ago if he was still here, at least we give it a do (up until todays performance).

Dyche has gone.
Start looking forward.
Start looking forward.
Re: Dyche critics
Jackson and Mee showed their absolute inexperience in selecting that team and formation today.

Re: Dyche critics
It was time for him to move on, and arguably he should have gone last summer, but that's easy to say with hindsight, at least MJ give us a shot at survival, and although ultimately he came up short, 11 points from 8 games isn't too shabby a record, considering we had 24 points from our previous 30 games.

This. He should have gone sooner. A dreadful season and largely down to his dour football.Cleveleys_claret wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 6:13 pmWe would have been down before today if Dyche was still in charge

Most of us are, he did a brilliant job generally, but all good things come to an end, and yes I agree we need to move on and trust whoever succeeds SD will be equally if not more successful.

Re: Dyche critics
I’d feel far happier knowing he was in charge going in the Championship (and knowing we wouldn’t have to pay off his gigantic new contract we just gave him, considering our new financial reality)….
But,
The change gave us a chance, so it was the right thing to do. The issue was, and always has been, the timing. Pace did it at a stupid time and it didn’t give us quite enough games to possibly change the outcome. If it was on the agenda then he should have gone in January.

Not a Dyche critic but I doubt we'd have made it to the final day with survival as an option if he was still in charge.

Re: Dyche critics
The thing is, I had accepted relegation weeks ago under Dyche and was actually looking forward to a Dyche season in the Championship.
Owners took a gamble sacking him and it nearly paid off.
So firstly - Good effort Michael Jackson and his team for putting some hope back into our season but right now, now that we are down, I wish we had dyche back.

Re: Dyche critics
The architects of this downfall in order are
1. Garlick
2. Dyche
3. Players
No need to look elsewhere

Re: Dyche critics
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the team selection today, the problem lay in the fact we only started playing with twenty minutes to go.
Re: Dyche critics
Dyche critics said he should of gone months earlier, we may of stayed up then. Unfortunately Jackson got it wrong when it mattered today.
Get a new manager in rebuild and go again, time for Pace to earn his coin

Re: Dyche critics
Don’t agree. Roberts McNeil have been our number 1 threat in recent home games. It’s clear as day that Cornet isn’t a 4-4-2 striker and suits coming off the wing better. Weghorst at least can link up play. It was negative playing Collins right back in a game we needed to win.

Re: Dyche critics
I thought we should have stayed with five at the back, one of the only things MJ has got wrong in his short tenure. Newcastle are too good for us just like villa and spurs were. We only got a point at villa as we defended for our lives, too open today not enough threat going forward and a really poor midfield performance all around.

Re: Dyche critics
Should have got the bullet a few months before he did.
Might have had a chance then.

Re: Dyche critics
Most outsiders have told me he should have been potted well before and who knows. The Norwich game was a disgrace and basically relegated us.
Re: Dyche critics
What happened to the 442 fast attacking football? ripped Soton apart in 45 minutes at home, suddenly we're a 532 **** it forward to Cornet's head side

We didn't disgrace ourselves with our finishing position.
We would have done under Dyche, we'd have been around Watfords points

Re: Dyche critics
Safe to say if we’d kept Dyche we’d have been down before today. On the flip side these were the kind of games we won under him!
Re: Dyche critics
But in a perverse way I’d have been far more comfortable starting next season with Dyche in charge.

Re: Dyche critics
No blame whatsoever with MJ,
Dyche definitely has to shoulder a lot of the blame with his baffling team selections, tactics & refusal to see what was in front of his eye's
We are never going to be a premier league regular, we can't put that sort of money in.
We are strong and will be back
Solidarity to all those in C&B we will be back ...... Eventually
