If those wage sources leaked the other day are correct, Barnes is on over 30 grand a week. Moving him on if we can, makes perfect sense. He won’t be here next year and so a younger, quicker striker on a lot less money as back up is a sensible decision. Equally if he has chance to move on and earn a longer contract somewhere else he’s earned that right and respect ( similar to
Lowton).

Just not been fancied by the manager since the World Cup break. He commented that he’d not been near his levels and the summer stuff had affected his performances.
