Seen conflicting reports following last night's game. Can anyone who was there confirm?

Re: Benson injured?
He got his usual kick on the ankle.
Re: Benson injured?
went down like he was dying, arms waving for medical attention, rolling the lot.
came back on, looked ok.
went off hobbling.
im sure it'll be classed as a "knock"

Re: Benson injured?
These lads really need to wear some bigger shin pads and ideally ankle protection.
They go down like they’ve been shot sometimes.

Re: Benson injured?
Why on earth did he go back on? Already winning, 5 subs, several of which were ideal.
Re: Benson injured?
Should be known as ten Benson.
Cos you know as soon as he goes down he'll be off ten minutes later.

My friend from Scotland refers to Benson as "a good little player but a wee fearty"

That's the gratitude some of our fans like to show to 1 of our best players last season and the player who scored a wonder goal to win the title at our fiercest rivals.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 1:28 pmNice to see one of our talented players getting support on here.

Some weird "so called" fans on here at times, I put it down to some just wanting to sound controversial for the sake of it.Anonymous Claret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 4:02 pmThat's the gratitude some of our fans like to show to 1 of our best players last season and the player who scored a wonder goal to win the title at our fiercest rivals.

Re: Benson injured?
Oh come off it, talk about being sensitive- he could be the best player in the world and be a bit of a fanny at times. They’re not mutually exclusive.
Re: Benson injured?
Swollen ankle.
Look forward to his return. He can win games.

Re: Benson injured?
Lukily he'll only need 10 minutes or so to win some games
To actually get two shots off against Man U in a short cameo was good and as we know more often than not he'll hit the net.

Anybody who follows Burnley knows that, but prem league defenders know how to play a winger who only has 1 trick.Anonymous Claret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 4:02 pmThat's the gratitude some of our fans like to show to 1 of our best players last season and the player who scored a wonder goal to win the title at our fiercest rivals.

United still let him get two shots in from the right.

Re: Benson injured?
A fully fit Benny is gonna be a dangerous player for us, people need to realise he was coming into this season recovering from injury too. Might have been brought back in a bit early or something, these things happen. We've got plenty of cover for his position, I just hope it's not always Koleosho being swapped to the right flank as he looks far more threatening on the left.

Re: Benson injured?
No amount of “look at me everyone I’m a better fan than you lot who are saying those hurty words” posts is gonna change the fact he seems a little bit ‘brittle’.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 1:28 pmNice to see one of our talented players getting support on here.
Nowt wrong with saying it either. No one’s being horrible or offensive or even having a go really.
We know what he can do, and we know what he has done. Great little player and a game changer when used correctly. (watch some utter WEAPON come on now and say I’ve had a snidy dig at VK
Some light hearted humorous remarks regarding the injuries he’s sustained whilst here is all we’ve got on here, nothing more. No need for the overreaction.

Re: Benson injured?
Some seem to confuse being ‘brittle’ or prone to niggly injuries as being mentally weak, or being a ‘bit of a fanny’ though. Probably the same kind of people who moan and relentlessly tell everyone when they’ve got a cold.bobinho wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2023 7:18 amNo amount of “look at me everyone I’m a better fan than you lot who are saying those hurty words” posts is gonna change the fact he seems a little bit ‘brittle’.

Re: Benson injured?
Plenty of footballers like Benny ,they may be brittle or soft or just unlucky 2 yrs ago JBG was in the same group Darren Anderton was also forever injured, the trouble with Benson is that he never gets scythed down,or gets cut in half tackles he always gets kicked on his ankles which is probably the worse place to be kicked apart from in the goolies .

Re: Benson injured?
I’d have started him vs United. They couldn’t handle him at OT last season & I thought the same when he came on. Probably doubled our second half shots count in ten minutes.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 9:55 pmUnited still let him get two shots in from the right.
Hope he’s okay and back on the bench for weekend, but my point stands that I think these skilful lads who are going to get challenges flying in should be wearing better ankle and shin protection.

Re: Benson injured?
Brittle or gets kicked a lot ?
Lots of injuries to wide players already this season in the PL - can’t be bothered listing them but go through the teams and look how many have been out.
I just wish Benson had contributed something to us since he signed. One trick pony who has done very little for us other than single handedly win a dozen or so games by luckily curling the ball in the top corner from 25 yards. Dane Richards mark 2.

Re: Benson injured?
I love how people view him as having “one trick” when in reality he can go either way and generally bemuse defenders. If one trick of mine resulted in me scoring repeated promotion-clinching worldies I think I’d keep doing it no matter what else I had in my locker.
