Guedioura from Watford to Hull £3.5m bid accepted
Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
Gutted about this one tbh, He was a player I said we should go for if we go up and Hull don't last year, seemed close but you can't knock the club for trying and showing that ambition even if the deals don't materialise.

It does seem as if we struggle to get players identified in but then
I suppose we always have and probably always will for a variety of reasons.
If we stay up and Hull don't the I suppose we will be back in for him in the summer.
At least we've learnt a few lessons and aren't making paltry initial bids.
Straight in with 10m I believe for Robertson.
Do hope we manage to get Brady in and hopefully one or two more -possibly loans?

There's still time to go yet... this may not be as dead as we think.
If Robertson is as angry as people suspect then he might be having words behind the scenes.
Player power can trump pretty much most other things these days.

Silva says he's had a chat and the player is happy.

Maybe he didn't have the chat face to face but did it on MSN Messenger and Robertson used a sarcastic smiley which was misunderstood by Silva.Pearcey wrote:That's very difficult to do without making yourself look like a deranged psychopath.

Is it because it didn't come from a twittering fat Jock that post 234 was ignored?

Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
I agree..... somethings not right about this why would the selling club accept our offer if he was always part of their first team plans. I suspect someone is lying either their manager or Hulls chairman to the new manager or as has already been suggested we have pulled the plug as Brady is in Burnley and either one of Robertson or Brady was out Target and not both.BurnleyPaul wrote:There's still time to go yet... this may not be as dead as we think.

Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
Can you imagine how low motivation and morale must be at Hull. Their best players going or gone, some never heard of or mediocre replacements coming in and now Robertson being screwed over. This is a win for us whatever happens but I would have rather signed the player. Could be ours in the summer or before if he refuses to play for them again. If we don't get him in this window I wonder if we might go for another striker or a loan if the Westwood deal is a permanent one.
Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
One suggestion on Hull's board was that the manager put his foot down and said he'd resign if Robertson was sold.

Cracking player, manager has put and end to it with what he's said, if Hull go down hopefully we'll be back in for him.

Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
If Hull are so short of players why loan another 2 out just before announcing Robertson would be staying as this is what I heard being reported elsewhere. Something strange going on and I think Hull are in total disarray.

They are not short of players - they are just short of good players.LaLigaClaret wrote:If Hull are so short of players why loan another 2 out just before announcing Robertson would be staying as this is what I heard being reported elsewhere. Robertson is one of their best players - Alex Bruce is most certainly not !

Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
I agree Bruce is not one of their best but they are desperately short of players with even more players recently injured. They are waving the white flag with everyone else that has left so why so firm on Robertson ? I think its because they won't sell to us in the desperate vain hope we might fall into the relegation places. I bet Robertson is definitely not happy and hope he demotivates the rest of their dressing room.

They would have been happy to sell Snodgrass to us.LaLigaClaret wrote:I agree Bruce is not one of their best but they are desperately short of players with even more players recently injured. Really They would have been happy to see Snodgrass to us ? They accepted our bid as they did with Robertson. Still think something strange going on.

If this as been stopped because Hull see us as relegation rivals, is it a possibility things could changed by 9.30 with a win?
Re: Robertson - £10m bid accepted - SPECULATION
More like 9.45. And the he makes his way over to Burnley for medical and to sign in 75 minutes?Dyched wrote:If this as been stopped because Hull see us as relegation rivals, is it a possibility things could changed by 9.30 with a win?
