Is that the old Keanu Reeves film?

Good one if it is.

That looks quite good.
I saw this on a recent long haul flight. It's pretty decent. Radcliffe is very good in the role.

Try 'L.A. Confidential' if you haven't seen it. The best film to be made of the brilliant James Ellroy novels. 'The Black Dahlia' is disappointing. The book is so much more complex.

I Am Not Your Negro.

Director: Raoul Peck. Featuring: James Baldwin. France/USA 2016. 94 mins.

With unprecedented access to James Baldwin’s original work, award-winning filmmaker Raoul Peck has completed the cinematic version of the book Baldwin never wrote – a radical narration about race in America that tracks the lives and assassinations of Baldwin’s friends, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Medgar Evers. By confronting the deeper connections between the lives and assassinations of these three men, we uncover a larger narrative of America’s historical and current denial and irrational relationship with race. Whilst it is partly anchored in the struggle for equality in the ’50s and ’60s, I Am Not Your Negro is about what it means to be black in "gun nutter land" today.

I thought it was a fantastic film which went at my pace, no punches pulled and very well directed and edited.

I watched Jamie Fox's new film Sleepless, last night.

Bad cop gets in trouble with a twist.

It doesn't pull up any trees but its easy enough to watch.

I'm looking forward to Alien - Covenant which is out next week.

Zodiac.

Seen it a few times now and think it's an excellent film. It's a thriller/crime film about the manhunt for the Zodiac killer who was around in the late 60s and early 70s in the area of San Francisco. He sent letters to the local press including ciphers. Really interesting.

Watched Guy Ritchie's new film King Arthur on Friday night.

Not a bad film really, about what you'd expect from one of his films.

Drone starring Sean Bean despite his yorkshire/american accent was edge of seat viewing

Aftermath starring Arnie ( brilliant performance from him )

Two very dark films but excellent all the same.

Split.

Just watched this, James McAvoy is absolutely brilliant.
It's a sequel of sorts to Unbreakable, the film starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson.

McAvoy should've won some awards for his acting in this film.

Watched Dunkirk last Friday.

Really enjoyed it and I'm thinking of going to watch it again at the cinema.

Detroit - watched it last night and really enjoyed it, found to be a very thought provoking film which also made me feel very angry and sad when it was over, highly recommend it.

Atomic Blonde - watching tomorrow night.

The Hitman's Bodyguard - watching this next Tuesday.

Will update on those films as and when I remember.

Atomic Blonde - if you've ever wondered what Charlize Theron would look like naked or having sex with a woman then this film is right up your street.
She's also not bad as a brutal female James Bond in the late 80's/Berlin Wall ending era.

I made the mistake of not watching Blade Runner first before watching the new one...

2049 was still a very good film even if it was confusing a little.

Mistake? More like you're as thick as a whale butty. Why would anyone go watch a sequel to a film if they've never watched the first film? I've heard it all haha.
