Blackburn paid a fee for Derrick Williams so that figure is definitely not correct

What it doesn't show is wages paid. That is usually a better indicator of likely position in the league.

Shows Grayson did a good job at PNE, I think if anyone can sort the mess out, that Sunderland is, he can.

Very good point. I would suspect the table would be a lot closer to the finishing position if in wage order. Huddersfield’s success was based on a team of all loan players on big wages.
