Any danger of tonight's game being called off?

Post by UpTheBeehole » Tue Aug 01, 2017 4:54 pm

Currently having the third torrential downpour of the day in East Lancs.

Will the pitch take this much rain and still be playable?

We've had this pitch seven years now and we still get threads like this when it rains, and it's not rained in Burnley (YET) today.

It's been belting down at Palazzo Pizza Parlour since quarter to five. That is the first rain today, though.

I was just at the Turf 20 mins ago to collect our tickets and it was chucking it down. But there's no chance of it being called off with our superb pitch.

It shows 5.10 on my computer. Is there a setting for daylight saving? If so, have you ticked the box?

The sprinklers will still be on when you get down there. They are designed to take as much water as you can put on it.

It's chucked it down here, on the edge of Padiham, on and off all day.

Not a day for putting your washing out that's for sure.
