A Propper signing for Brighton
Brighton have landed a Propper player from PSV, for £6m.
Won the league with them.

Shows there are quite a few bargains still out there if you have a scouting network which travels further than Staffordshire.

He's only a bargain if he turns out to be any good

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
If we'd signed a 6'1" Dutch international midfielder who scores 10 a season from midfield for teams which wins leagues and did well in the Champions League, we'd be over the moon.

No need for these exotic foreign signings, we've got Bards and Walts.

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
If we had signed him I wonder if there would be a thread about him on their forum

I was over the moon when we signed Tony Hancock and non-plussed when we signed Sam Vokes. Means nothing unfortunately!UpTheBeehole wrote:If we'd signed a 6'1" Dutch international midfielder who scores 10 a season from midfield for teams which wins leagues and did well in the Champions League, we'd be over the moon.

I've never heard of him, but if he's signed for someone else, I'm guessing he's amazeballs.UpTheBeehole wrote:If we'd signed a 6'1" Dutch international midfielder who scores 10 a season from midfield for teams which wins leagues and did well in the Champions League, we'd be over the moon.

Didn't Boro sign players from the Dutch champions last year?

I reckon Messi could sign for someone in the Premier League and we'd still get people on here saying he's sh1te.

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
Not 100% sure on your point here, but it's a leap from someone who's got 5 caps for a fairly toss Holland side and arguably the greatest footballer of all time.UpTheBeehole wrote:I reckon Messi could sign for someone in the Premier League and we'd still get people on here saying he's sh1te.

Didn't Remco van de Schaff play in the Champions League?

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
He is that good he won the league with Feyenoord even though he has never played for them.
On a serious note, not a bad player and a good price. But the one area I think we are fine (strangely for once) is central midfield.

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
He's got a foreign name - what more can they need?
Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
Propper 5 caps (no full games), two of them last season, for Holland; Hendrick, 33 caps (mostly full games) for a side ranked higher internationally than Holland. I think perhaps people forget how good we are now - there's no need to assume that any old international is going to improve us.

Soon find out Saturday, they are Home to City, who I think will be the stand out team this season, hopefully they get beat by more goals than us

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
Brighton played well yesterday against athletico madrid only losing 2-3. Whilst I'm expecting man city to win I think Brighton will be alot stronger at home than people are thinking, they will have our problem in away games though I reckon.

Re: A Propper signing for Brighton
Fairly average player.
I'm not sure he will even start ahead of what they have got.
Probably just Norwoods replacement on the bench
