2018/19 Home Kit
Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
£45 for a adult shirt is taking the **** bfc..
Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
It’s £10 less than what a lot of other Premier League clubs charge. You can’t even get a Man City child’s shirt for £45 this season.claretdj wrote:£45 for a adult shirt is taking the **** bfc..

Its a nice kit, traditional claret and blue with honeycomb texture design in 1970's V which also alludes to the red upward V in the crest. Its a shame the sponsor hides it.

Really? It's just an addition and someone has come up with the idea that it's a V so referred to the 1970s. That and the hideous sponsor spoil the shirt.claptrappers_union wrote:OK then, maybe not a throwback, but its a hint, a nudge, a reference, a suggestion, a nod. You petty git

Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
New kit Fabulous a proper Burnley strip . The logo is one of those things everybody has nowadays but the strip itself superb . Forget the V strip it was awful when we wore it the first time . The all claret one was bland . Any other ones apart from last season's and the retro one one the other season were not up to much.
Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
He’s not saying somebody sat there dribbling over the 70’s shirt thinking “mmm lets incorporate this somehow”
He’s just stating it reminds him of that 70’s shirt as it will do other fans. It’s a nice addition to the shirt that gives it a little depth rather than a solid block of clarets. It a really nice shirt apart from that daft looking sponsor

Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
I see a V on the front a Burnley shirt, it reminded me of another Burnley shirt which had a V from 1970's and I think its a nod to it. Nobody told me that was the clubs intension or not, Ive not read it anywhere - but thats what I see. So we'll have to agree to disagree.ClaretTony wrote:Really? You've used the same words as the club 'nod to'.claptrappers_union wrote:No.

Same shirt, until someone took the daft sponsor off it was hardly possible to see it was supposed to be a V. It's not that obvious even then. Personally I think it would look a lot better without it.
Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
If you don’t like the logo you can always wear it back to front. Or inside out, or try removing the logo with acetone, or photoshop. What we need are alternatives.

Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
Initially I used the word 'throwback' which I thought was your gripe... because it could be seen as a negative. But I also used the words hint, nudge, reference and suggestion. Just because I like the shirt, doesn't mean I work for the marketing dept, for what its worth, I don't like the sponsors logo.

I don't buy Burnley shirts anymore anyway, as I'm overweight and over 30.mikeS wrote:If you don’t like the logo you can always wear it back to front. Or inside out, or try removing the logo with acetone, or photoshop. What we need are alternatives.
Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
It's a classic Burnley kit from where I'm standing - claret and blue top, white shorts, white socks. What more do you want? I like the little honeycomb V thing, I think it adds something and I agree with claptrappers_union that there's a hint of the 70's V in it. It's completely different but I can't recall any other kits we've had that have had any kind of V on the front! It's just a shame the sponsor logo is so big and high on the shirt. Other than that it's a solid effort.

Personally think it's a really nice strip minus the sponsor, my only gripe is the club signing a record deal with a betting company and making extra money from Europe whilst also be the richest in it's history with another premiership year then upping the price by £5 to milk the fans.

It isn't spelled 'Labia' though, it's Laba.

Re: 2018/19 Home Kit
The extra £5 charge for the shirt is a joke. We're the richest we've ever been and just signed the biggest sponsorship deal we've ever had. Why the constant need to squeeze every penny from the fans?

Having seen it on my computer instead of the phone, the little details make it a really nice shirt, but that logo..........argh

Cool kit. Sponsor’s Logo is a bit much, but that’s the nature of the beast.
Glad we’ve kept the Raglan Sleeve, and that we’ve reverted to white shorts.

Agree with the first bit though only gullible fans are obliged to buy the thing. Personally I would never buy an item of clothing with advertising plastered across it, least of all from a betting company.bumba wrote:Personally think it's a really nice strip minus the sponsor, my only gripe is the club signing a record deal with a betting company and making extra money from Europe whilst also be the richest in it's history with another premiership year then upping the price by £5 to milk the fans.

Any idea when it's released / When have away strips been released in the past?

I’d imagine it will be revealed at the Aberdeen away game.CombatClaret wrote:Love my 14/15 black away strip.
