Re: Ronaldo
Could win them the champions league I suppose.
Even sell 100m shirts with his name on, but it's one big risk with no sell on likely.

Re: Ronaldo
No doubt one of the greatest players of a generation but I think it's a gamble too far by Juve.

Re: Ronaldo
I’m with Ashton.
Surrounded by great players at RM he was allowed to do his own thing and just score goals.
He won’t have the same quality around him at Juve.

Agreed. But its a poor league and a lot slower pacedpiston broke wrote:I’m with Ashton.

Are you serious? Higuian, Dybala, Pjanic are great players. He will be just as effective.

It is not a poor league.
Re: Ronaldo
He’ll be a big success there. Nothing to suggest that he’s still not got it and particularly as he’s adapted to a new position. They’ll get a good few years of a great player and no doubt make plenty from merchandise

Re: Ronaldo
Unbelievable player who gets better every year. will be an unreal signing for Juve.
He is physically and technically as good as anyone on the planet still.

Awful league? Nowhere near as strong as it used to be but there are some cracking games in Serie A.

Re: Ronaldo
Very strange that he wasn’t linked with other clubs as well.
Suspect he’s got a few more years in him at the top.

Re: Ronaldo
Juve, Roma and Napoli all very good teams....and done well in Europe. Juve have a better recent record in CL than any Premier League team.cutsy123 wrote:Awful league actually
Both Milan teams trying to rebuild at moment.
Its a long way from being an awful league....but as said not as strong as it was previously.
Serie A is on a par with Bundesleague - and both are currently behind only La Liga and Premier League.

Re: Ronaldo
I can’t bide the bloke but it’s a fantastic signing by Juve as shirt sales and an increased global image is worth every penny. Also, he is the consummate professional footballer and will still be a force to be reckoned with in 4 years. Everything he does in the meantime is a bonus for Juve.

He'll be lethal with Dybala supplying him.

Re: Ronaldo
Hazard was the best player on the pitch tonight....did far more than Mbappe (who did have a good game). Shame that too many Belgium players did not play to their ability as I think they could have won this game. Witsel had a great game too.
He's a tremendous player and been brilliant in the World Cup.....there was a debate on this board a few weeks ago where a few people were saying they thought he was an average player !!

Hi TVC15:
I dislike Hazard intensely (personality and tendency to hit the deck every other minute although he hasn't done so in this WC) but thought he was excellent against Brazil and very good first-half tonight. But he didn't play as well IMHO second-half. He seems to have bulked out to me. He wasn't as decisive as, say, Mertens who put in three great crosses in his first ten minutes on the pitch. Hazard was better than in Brazil and France but still not decisive enough. De Bruyne has played very well.

Re: Ronaldo
All about opinions but I thought he had a very good second half aswell - he was the only player who was able to run at the French defence. Mertens did well when he came on - but unfortunately Lukaku was having one of those games.ecc wrote:Hi TVC15:

De Bruyne was nowhere near as effective last night as against Brazil but he has so much quality that even in the last minute he is putting in an incredible pass which nearly led to a chance. It ain’t easy playing against Kante though - he has got to be the fittest footballer on the planet and he would get in any team
In the world and improve them with what he does.

Re: Ronaldo
Good deal for all concerned, I think. Real Madrid get good money for a player who has been phenomenal for them for the best part of a decade, Juventus get a player who is still one of the best players in the world, and Ronaldo gets to try his hand in a new league against different opposition.
If he manages to stay fit, he could easily have another 4 or 5 good seasons left in him.
