Free Agents

Post by BigChaCha » Sat Aug 11, 2018 9:20 pm

We have been linked with this guy a few times over the last few days -

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/08/11/re ... -transfer/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Having just looked at the free agents list - http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statisti ... osespieler" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; there are quite a few I've actually heard of!

Players normally go to China when their career is on a downward spiral and they are more interested in cash. Not for me.

I note that Samir Nasri, left winger, is on the list. If it's the player I'm thinking of, he was an excellent, tricky forward. Why would he be a free agent? Has he upset anyone (bad apple)?

Sako caught my eye also but he is just recovering from a serious injury https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42921456 as we already have long-term injuries to contend with he'd be another risk,a short-term contract till the end of the season could be viable on the right terms.

It's when you see Jack Rodwell,still aged only 27 there, that you begin to be concerned.

I was aware of the initial ban but wasn't up to speed (no pun intended) with the appeal,at 31 and facing 2 years or so without competitive action he'll struggle to find a club even when his sentence is served.

he is asking for 100k a week in wages so that aint happening...
we do need a few on speed dial: i was hoping to start the season with a fully fit squad but cupboards are looking bare. add in potential european matches thursday and the squad looks even thinner.

The article I read referred to wage demands of €100k per month, not per week.

If we are really after Stéphane Mbia then I hope we have done the usual research because he doesn't look like Dyche material :o

He was banned in January for 6months, something to do with an intravenous drip.
