How did he not at least caution the Southampton player who assaulted Joey in the first half?
I hardly ever criticise officials because it is a difficult job, however, his decision making today left a lot to be desired ---particularly if you are a Clarets fan!

The challenge on JBG that prevented a certain goal also seemed out of control. The defender played the ball but it was reckless and I would suggest endangering the player. Not too dissimilar to Jagielka's challenge which saw him sent off yesterday.

Unreal the amount of blatant fouls he missed from ten yards away. Absolutely awful referee would love to hear what his assessor says when they review his inept performance.

My favourite decision was when Cork was fouled in the 2nd half outside our box. Mr Scott was excellently positioned, put the whistle to his mouth to blow for the infringement. On seeing that play had progressed and Southampton had a good shooting opportunity he decided to play an advantage.

Total homer. What are the views on the challenge on JBG when he shot over and then got clattered? Pen?

Agree Scott favoured Southampton today. I would need to see the JBG incident again but I did wonder at the time how can he get clattered in the box and not win a pen?

Then I remembered he plays for Burnley

A 5 - poor throughout the whole game
B 15 - consistently poor and a homer ref
C 20 - always in the right place to make his poor decisions
D 20 - consistently showed his authority, especially with our players. He spent over a minute chastising Ben Mee for pointing out the Saints players were cheating.

Clear pen for me. At the time I thought it was brilliant defending but it is a pen.
