Guys FFS, if you want to discuss the ins and outs of anything apart from the current take over, go make another thread to discuss it. It is disgusting that a Manchester UTD player has taken precedence on the thread regarding the most important turn of event for our club in my generation. I really dont understand how it got this bad, and there would be uproar if the MODS got tough on it. But then that maybe the answer, 1 week ban for anyone who has to have a post removed.

Neither for or against this transfer, and don't want to detract from the takeover theme, as I am as keen as everyone to hear news about it, but I hope the medical is extremely thorough. Back to the takeover, still no time limit, no real facts, just bits of info getting dripped in. No one still knows what the hold up is, or if they do, they are keeping their cards very close to their chest. Hoping for some significant information soon and some closure and hopefully we can kick on.

The £200million American takeover of Burnley is set to be signed off next week.

Sportsmail understands that staff at the club have now been told to prepare for a change of ownership.

ALK Capital, the sports investment firm fronted by financial guru Alan Pace, will receive Premier League approval to complete their deal.

They had faced competition from Egyptian businessman Mohamed El Kashashy and sports lawyer Chris Farnell, but sources have expressed doubt over the strength of that offer.

It has also been suggested that Clarets chairman Mike Garlick could remain at the club in the short term.

The arrival of new owners ahead of the January transfer window would be a welcome boost for manager Sean Dyche, whose side are currently third from bottom in the Premier League.

Exactly this. They'll be aware but won't have been told much, if anything. Though some are more aware than they're letting on. It's my understanding there'll be investment in the commercial side as well as Barnfield. With the emphasis on creating jobs, not cutting them.

Also, the playing staff, in particular, are the ones who need to be encouraged to perform on the pitch and the ones, more than any others, who will be aware of the Jan transfer window and the desire to add to the club's playing strength in that window.

I'm sure everyone is the club is asking the question "how are the takeover talks going." If they're not in the "need to know" groups, they will, as all of us, have heard Neil Hart's statement. As others have posted, they may also have been asked not to say anything "outside the club."
