Re: Strictly
Always a bit disappointing when the best dancer doesn't win, but on this occasion I thought that Bill was a worthy winner. It was a remarkable achievement for someone of his age, and with no previous dance experience to reach the level that he did.
His musicality shone through, and he proved to be great entertainer. Most remarkable however were his energy levels. A great example to us all, and a worthy winner.
The entire series has been one of the few bright spots in a difficult couple of months, and I'm sure brought some cheer to millions.

Re: Strictly
Wasn't it a public vote?
He deserved it anyway consistently the best all the way through the series.

Re: Strictly
Purely the public Steve the judges votes were just for guidance and not included.
I voted for the 1st time too just to add my support to the massed "Bill Bailey for the Glitterball" throngs out there in in Strictly fandom.
Re: Strictly
55yo Bill Bailey is indeed an inspiration to many. He sets such a low bar for comedy that many will now consider it a viable career option.
Don't get me wrong, he proved to be a very good dancer but he hasn't made me laugh since his Billy Bragg parody many moons ago. I appreciate comedy is subjective but he doesn't seem to be blessed with funny bones.
Jeez, lockdown is turning me into WEC and I don't care!

Like I say - made money from being 'anti establishment' when it suited him, now just wants to be humble and for everyone to like him.

It’s just me boss. I just reminded her that if I ever get an attack of political correctness she’ll be the first to know.

I’d never watched it until last year but now my eldest daughter loves it, 7 years old, she now has me dancing around the living room with her after I’ve had a bottle of wine
