Could Arsenal go down?
First time I have looked at the league table this season and see they are only 4 pointsabove us.They probably won't but how good would it be for a so called big 6 team to be relegated especially with all the talk of the big clubs trying to break away

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
They could but they wouldnt.
That said aside from the front two, they are poor. And their discipline even worse. And attitude worse of the lot!
Arteta looks shellshocked.

It's probably still 3 from 5. we'd do well to reel in Brighton, one off the bottom 3 isn't the place to be.

Behave! Not a chance. Sure they are struggling a bit but no way will they finish below 3 of the bottom 5

No , now not impossible but still no

They could do but VAR and refs will help good old Arsenal out.

I doubt Arsenal will be down there, they'll deal with the situation. But it won't be 3 from 5, others will drop into it.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 9:39 pmIt's probably still 3 from 5. we'd do well to reel in Brighton, one off the bottom 3 isn't the place to be.

Has anyone ever seen a poorer Arsenal team than that?
I hadn't seen them before tonight and couldn't believe how poor they looked.

Two quality strikers and a whole bunch of extremely average nobody's. Willian was the only other person I've really heard of and he looks a busted flush tbh.diamondpocket wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 10:04 pmHas anyone ever seen a poorer Arsenal team than that?

I think we're being a bit unfair.
They haven't spent their next 300 million yet.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
They will never go down. They will just cheat their way to saftey if it comes to it. The corrupt premier league will ensure refs give them everything and turn a blind eye to players shoving opposition players in the face and such.

Arsenal are 75/1 to go down. For those who don't understand betting, that means if you have £10 on Arsenal to be relegated, you'll lose £10.

They won't go down, but I can't see them finishing top 10 this season, they are poor and lacking in discipline and effort.
Their next 4 games aren't easy though, Southampton, Everton, Chelsea & Brighton.

No, but I’d love it.
It’s going to be another one of those Leicester seasons- the big six are not convincing, get a few wins together and the season is yours.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
They're having a very poor season for them but they've been in England's top flight now for over a hundred years consecutively. (98 consecutive seasons, given gaps due to WW2). Way longer than anybody else to press.
Long odds that they wont make it to 100 consecutive seasons.
They'll do whatever they need to get some improvement- ditch the manager, spend shedloads or get the rules changed etc.
Their fans will continue to be arch moaners whatever happens.

Give up, were a point behind them with having played more "top six" clubs. Honestly such a negative thought!!boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 9:39 pmIt's probably still 3 from 5. we'd do well to reel in Brighton, one off the bottom 3 isn't the place to be.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
We have every chance of finishing above Brighton, they were hammered at Leicester today, and for all the talk of their improvement they only sit 2 points above the drop zone, they are very much in the relegation battle.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 9:39 pmIt's probably still 3 from 5. we'd do well to reel in Brighton, one off the bottom 3 isn't the place to be.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
Probably not but it won't do them any harm to be midtable for a while, might bring their fans down a peg or two.
Its amusing that they give Aubameyang a nice big contract and he's lost form as soon as he signs it.

No. The three will come from the current bottom 5 plus Leeds - Sheff U already look like they’ve got too much to do.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
I'd never write anybody off this early in the season, but the Blades are leaving themselves with a mountain to climb, and the big worry for them is that both ourselves and Fulham are starting to pick up points at a regular rate now, even West Brom are showing signs that they can be competitive in most games, but Sheff Utd failed to muster an effort on target in their game at Southampton, that's not an encouraging stat for their fans.scouseclaret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 11:57 pmNo. The three will come from the current bottom 5 plus Leeds - Sheff U already look like they’ve got too much to do.

Re: Could Arsenal go down?
The same was previously asked of Forest, Leeds and the only team to win the premier league then get relegated TWICE! And they all did. Annoyingly I don't think they will. But in a time when we could all do with a laugh, its be brilliant watching a communal north London hissy fit !

We're a point behind with a game in hand. With 27 games left, it;s too early to give up hope on making up that point - even if our goal difference is worse.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 9:39 pmIt's probably still 3 from 5. we'd do well to reel in Brighton, one off the bottom 3 isn't the place to be.

Arsenal won't go down and will more than likely have a top half finish.
My relegation candidates are Sheff Utd, WBA, Brighton, Leeds, Burnley, Fulham and Palace in that order
