On 5live they said it was originally laid for Euro 96 and they've never redone it since.

Shocker. Think I bemoaned our players a few times for poor control but was probably the pitch.

That’s incredible. Ours is 10 years old and probably in need of surgery but 24 years.

We might have had work done on it but there wasn't time to relay a new pitch I wouldn't have thought either in the lockdown or the shortened close season.

I'm surprised the PL doesn't have some sort of rules on pitches like they do for floodlights, PA etc.

Absolutely shocking playing surface. I’m surprised Leeds are able to play such an expansive game on it. We got to grip with it in the second half but at times it was like watching a Sunday league game.

Some non stop horrendous rain in Leeds last 48hours. Must have been like playing on porridge.
