BFC books- I never realised there was so many

Post by tiger76 » Thu Dec 31, 2020 7:57 pm

Just started collecting these a few months ago, and already I'm up to about 20, with many others still to purchase, I knew of some of these titles, but there's many that until recently I wasn't aware of, does anyone now why our club inspires so much interest and writing, I guess it's our great history and also our descent to the foot of the football pyramid in the 80's, before our meteoric rise once again that attracts so much of the curiosity.

It'll be interesting to see what's in the books written 20/30 years hence, that's a chapter in our history that's still to be written, both on and off the pitch.

Dave - I guess it is too easy to overestimate demand, when push comes to shove many are unprepared to shell out for your “labours of love”. However the books will be your lasting legacy rather than some of the kids you attempted to educate!?
Happy New Year to you and all your readers.

I've already got quite a few of yours, I'm guessing you're Dave Thomas? I'll checkout your website over the next few days to see if there's some that I'm still missing, it's fine buying them, it's being in the mood to actually read them that's the problem, I've no doubt I'll get round to it eventually.

Educated him as in 1 + 1 = 2, or taking centre forwards out with with a well timed tackle ?

I didn't know about this one. Does Lenny get the profits? I sincerely hope so.

The Paul Weller book has more stories per square inch than most other football book I have read... and some of them absolute crackers.

No. Going to MND I think. I’m half way through reading it.
