Cryptocurrency

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Wed Mar 03, 2021 11:58 am

Has anyone invested into crypto? I started a couple of weeks ago and have had relative success, it is very turbulent though.

Anyone got any recommendations for future investments

Xrp's Market cap to price is already large with out a lot of room for movement, if they lose the court case a lot will jump ship. The Graph and Chainlink are decent long term investments. Ethereum could also do a lot more than what it is at the moment. Nano does a similar job to eth but is fee less. If people jump to that to save on the current large gas fee's it "could" pottentialy be a very good investment

Anyone who is thinking of investing into Bitcoin or any other markets
Do Not Use "Krenton Finance" or "Wisenex" whilst your account may show that you are making profits you will soon find out that its a TOTAL SCAM.

Ada is an interesting one again but you really do need to look at the market cap, i dont know if you understand how that works but if you consider bitcoin has the largest at 660 billion and a selling price of £36500, ada has a market cap of 28 billion and a selling price of 90p. If ada became as big as bitcoin is now it would have a value price of £21 each. Ada will grow but it will never be the next bitcoin. Etherium has more potential (for me). Have a look on here, it will give yo some ideas on market cap. https://thecoinperspective.com/?c=XMR

Fortunately, I failed to work out how to pay for my sports channels using crypto and have never looked back.

How to make something out of a theoretical idea!

Yes, it comes from one of the big market correction some years ago. An investor miss spelt holding to hodl which has now been widely addopted. It also stands for hold on for dear life

Generally I'd suggest don't use any "investment" firm or whatever to buy them for you. Buy them yourself so that you're holding the coins rather than someone else.

I put a small amount of my net worth into crypto and consider it mostly speculative.

1/3rd into BTC because institutions love it right now.
1/3rd into ETH because that's a better technology and is getting institutional investment.
1/3rd into ADA because that's the BEST technology thus far, might be getting institutional investment AND it's super cheap right now.

Obviously, ADA is highly speculative, but worth a punt. Ultimately, ETH and ADA are for profit-making, but I plan to keep a bit of BTC on hand for the inevitable collaspe of the global financial system, especially the US dollar, and the impending CBDCs.

Been in crypto for a few years now and have done well the past year.
This year is about dot(polkadot) ksm(kusama) these 2 will be pushing eth(Ethereum) off it's spot with the parachains and tokens being built on its chain.
I personally would keep an eye on what tokens are being built on it, a massive one yet to be released on general sale is KILT.. this is a must buy.
Anyone interested in long term 5+ years I would look into ewt(energy web token) it's all about renewable energy with most of the world's energy companies involved.
Other tokens worth watching/buying are ocean (ocean protocol) mir(mirror protocol) pha(phala network)

It’s all very confusing - what are these tokens? And how are they being made for different things such as energy web token? And how does it become worth something?

Crypto is my pet peeve. I’ve been in ethereum and litecoin for a few years and did have Bitcoin but exited back then when it was flat. I was on a transatlantic flight when the crash bfcmatt mentions hit so wasn’t able to react and the market just kept dropping.

I’ve been carrying the bag ever since and have only recently got into positive territory.

Good question lol..
Most tokens are required to run transactions across the blockchains so each party would require to use these.
With dot and especially ksm, new companies wanting to use the polkadot ecosystem will need (x) amount to apply for a slot. With this they offer crowd loaning where a holder can loan there ksm for a select amount of time to gain interest and new token on it.
Best to look on twitter as there's loads of info about all the tokens on there.
Just add the $ in front of a token you wish to read about..
$ewt $ksm etc..

Twitter is a good start to read up, don't get sucked into the shillers of there own tokens.
A good start would be to read up on dot and ksm. These will be the future

If it is listed, Binance, it has the lowest fees by far and supports all chains.

If it isn't listed, then Pancakeswap if it is available on the Binance Smart Chain.

If it isn't on the Binance Smart Chain, then UniSwap, but the gas fees are ridculous atm. That shouldn't be a problem for much longer though, as they are shortly changing to Optimistic Rollups which will drastically reduce the fees.

You make it sound so simple  .
Does listed mean it’s in circulation ? As in its being traded?
And unlisted being a coin or token which is hoping to take off and reach value?

What about crypto.com ?

It is interesting looking at Helium and there "miners" in regard to placement for proving full coverage. One in Blackburn, One in Clayton LM and None in Burnley, yet Nelson has a slew of them. Could be an opportunity for someone in Burnley to look at in terms of crypto mining and picking up HNT for the future, risky for sure but the opportunity is there.
