I’d have taken 2-1 with pleasure but I’d like another before they go in after tearing them apart For 45
Or 1-2

Some of the football has been brilliant, no idea why we're so slow and crap most weeks when we can knock the ball around like this, joy to watch.

Crackin' game.

I'm still in shock that Wood managed to control the ball before scoring, but it was a good goal.

McNeil's strike was pure delight though and why we didn't get at least one penalty, I don't know.

No doubt, this new Everton goalie will have a blinder, stopping everything we throw at him.

Looking forward to the second half.

Great first half, the creative attacking threat from JBG, McNeil and Vydra with Wood ready to do what he does best is a joy to watch.

Would love another open half like that with us keeping our noses in front

Superb stuff

Their front two are very good - Tarks and Mee will need to be at their best 2nd half.

It might actually be time to get off his back?
41 Premier League goals and counting for a team like Burnley - the sort of striker you seem to want we couldn’t afford and even if we could he wouldn’t come to Burnley.

We've looked well up for this, could do with another goal early 2nd half as Everton seem to have rallied a bit after our early dominance-what a great half of football though!

Could’ve been three penalties for me.

First his arm was flailing.

Tarks was definitely a foul anywhere else on the pitch.

Third was a goal bound shot blocked from a fair way out (although was a powerful shot)

At least one should’ve been given.

I just cannot understand some fans attitude towards Wood. He has rough spells like most strikers but he is such an asset as his record clearly demonstrates.

I can image they’ll be warm enough coming out for the second half though... some learning of Italian in that Everton dressing room. Sure SD will be getting them set for Everton’s charge, we could be on for picking them off with a little luck.

Yes, great first half. Pity we could keep it to 2-0, we dersered to be 2 up. Tardy badly at fault for their goal.

JBG brings balance to the side and thats a big plus, it's been very open though, would like us tightening it a bit at the back. But Calvert Lewin is no slouch. So easier said than done, and they have a few players that can play a side splitting pass.
