Everton final thoughts
1) I was highly delighted pre-game that they were missing James, Doucoure, Sigurddson & Mina. All clubs have suffered with injuries but they were badly hit there.
2) a silly thing. Nick Pope took a back pass with the outside of his boot and totally lost control. He did the same twice at Newcastle and it was a disaster. STOP IT, Nick.
3) the press are going nuts over Lamela’s rabona goal and rightly but in injury time Ash Westwood played a rabona pass down the touchline to JRod that was exquisite and I haven’t seen a mention of that.
4)Matty Vydra has to stay in the side. A goal or two for his confidence and he can be special for us.

Based upon that game, I thought that Tarkowski is better than Keane. Didn't think I would ever say that.
Re: Everton final thoughts
I wouldn't offer Keane car insurance after that performance.
To kick the ball back into the area rather than out of play and he's an England defender?

Re: Everton final thoughts
That's what England defenders are expected to do, same as the keeper isn't supposed to hoof it.
Madness isn't it.

And McNeil's goal was a mirror almost of the Brian Pilkington goal against Hamburg in 1961, on the Turf Moor mudbath pitch.
So similar but on opposite sides of the pitch.

Re: Everton final thoughts
well according to andros townsend on the vapid towk spowt, pickford needs to lose all his goalkeeping skills and pope needs to gain his by some margin if ever southgate wants a change. seemingly pickford will remain the number one choice based purely on his ability to withstand the flak from the media. Jesus ******* c*****.

Re: Everton final thoughts
I think the first half was the best football we’ve played in my lifetime.
We played them off the park and could have been 4 or 5 goals ahead.
We’ve beaten better teams several times recently but never with such panache.

Re: Everton final thoughts
Like many teams, the Toffees were hit by absentees, but what did they do (or not do) that allowed us to look so good in the first half?

Re: Everton final thoughts
Have we decided which is the final thought? As this seems to be going on.
Concerning as I can't sleep and need the final thought.

You've got to put two notes for the third zed on the refrain. Z1, Z2, Z3-4.
First verse 12 beats, refrain 14 or 15?
Der-der-derrrrrr
Der-der-derrr-de
Zed zed ze -edEverton de-fense.

Re: Everton final thoughts
So I'm right, as usual.
It's just that you're a lousy singer and the musical demands upon the body are too much for your lungs.
You should fill your lungs with victory over Everton, sir.
