Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
Less of the random “come on relegation rival” nonsense. Here’s hoping the Hammers spank Newcastle.

I was disappointed with the way we handled ASM last week but West Ham are having the same problems, they don't know how to stop him legally.

2-0 and awful goalkeeping from Fabianski. Two shocking goals to concede.

No. And nothing happening at Newcastle is changing that.

At the other end of the table I suspect West Ham will struggle to get close to the top four now.
Re: Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
It's pretty irrelevent TBH. Newcastle aren't getting relegated, it's West Brom and Fulham we have to worry about, if we can't stay above them we deserve to go down. And I'll be worried if Fulham beat Arsenal tomorrow.

Few more twists and turns yet, but for me it sadly all hinges on Fulham . Will they continue their bad form or will they grind out a few results

Looks like Newcastle will be well clear of the drop by the time the final fixtures come around taking all the pressure off them for the final game at Fulham.

He’s been awful with both goals

If we lose to Utd and Fulham, they'll only be 4 points behind. That's not a lot!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 1:14 pmNo. And nothing happening at Newcastle is changing that.

WBA are only two points behind Fulham with a game in hand, and showing better form.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 1:17 pmFew more twists and turns yet, but for me it sadly all hinges on Fulham . Will they continue their bad form or will they grind out a few results

Really thought they'd stuff Newcastle today.
Biggest final few league games in years for West Ham up there and, they're crap.

Bad start to the weekend’s football. You can never rely on Dawson to be of any help.

Re: Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
Which has nothing to do with Newcastle beating West Ham. And I don’t think relegation will be decided on two of our remaining seven games. If we lose to United and Fulham any points difference between us will be based on a lot of other results.
Re: Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
The likes of Newcastle, WBA were bound to pick up results. Similar to Fulham after Xmas, always been down to us. Right now, we are in one of our usual troughs...but fully expect 2 more wins.
Re: Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
In reality West Ham were never going to finish in the top four.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 1:24 pmReally thought they'd stuff Newcastle today.

Over the years when our backs are against the wall Dyches Burnley have always delivered, and I expect the same this time

Swansea 2 down at home to Wycombe. Stays that way and Norwich need a point tonight for promotion. Swans have gone stale at the wrong end of the season.

Thought their next game was against us but on checking it's not, they play Chelsea next. So, unfortunately, he will be okay to play at TM. He quite likes playing us.

Re: Today’s Footy - 17 Apr
And to think it's only a couple of weeks ago that a good few on this board were hoping for a Fulham win against Wolves. !!!!!!!
Fulham score a last minute goal to win that game1-0 -rather than the other way round and our position would now be perilous.
A point at Fulham might do the job for us, but for the moment I'm really grateful for that late Traore goal.
If it comes down to goal difference, then we are almost certain to be 2nd best to Fulham, but ahead of WBA.

Been threatening.
Mags have reverted to their usual crap game. Since Christmas, they've been the league's worst!

Conversely, Wycombe have put up a right effort the last month or so. Unfortunately, it looks to just be a little too late but they've done incredibly well after a poor start.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 1:49 pmSwansea 2 down at home to Wycombe.
