I wouldn't think the Bob Lord impervious to more premium seating plans from the club

I should add that I would also be checking if the T's and C's are changing with this seasons tickets
2.2 A Season Ticket permits you to occupy at the Match the seat indicated on the Season Ticket or such other alternative seat of equivalent value as the Club may, from time to time, allocate to you at its reasonable discretion. All access to the Ground pursuant to a Season Ticket shall be for the purposes of private enjoyment of the Match only, not for any commercial purpose (and no authorisation is given or implied in respect of the carrying out of any commercial activities).

Let's be honest, there are no decent seats left to take.

Similar happened in the JHU a few years back for the tv gantry to be enlarged, not good if you have good seat's. But that was the demands of the tv companies.
Did any one have any issues when moved with that.
I knew one lad who had seats in that section with his son but wasn't to bothered.
Unfortunately' if you agree with it or not the prawn sandwich brigade are even prevalent at Burnley. :(

Should be loads of decent seats given the amount on here and social
media who aren’t renewing!

Are the club really that desperate for more hospitality seats when the hospitality at the back of the Jimmy Mac is never even close to full? Something doesn’t add up there.

If they want more hospitality why not extend the cricket field end of the Bob lord at the back like they have done at the club shop end, but some fancy suites up there and then have seats for them in the bob lord? More cover from the elements there.
If they want hospitality areas to be in the best positions in the ground then why do the club choose to put them in the lower tiers which have the worst views? Surely the upper tiers would make more sense?

And that's a major issue surely. If, let's say 300plus have to move then where will they get decent seats

If all this talk of moving is correct im very annoyed to say the least that I've had no contact, furthermore, how convenient to hear about this after renewing, if this has been on the cards for sometime why were we not informed a few months ago?. It would have been common decency to contact all of us they intend to 'turf out" in one fell swoop, but craftily they do it piece meal. I'm so bloody annoyed I'm intending to actually speak with Mr Pace once I have the clubs intentions in writing. I know others will say it's a waste of time, maybe that's true but unless it's actually you that it affects then you'd probably not understand my grievance.

Beddie, I couldn't agree more. All you say rings true. The club must have known in advance. To learn about it in this manner isn't acceptable, especially after renewing. Why there wasn't a general announcement is simply baffling.

To be fair if you’ve had no contact maybe your seat is fine. I’d definitely write to him though on the back of something you’ve read on here as it’s bound to be true.

I don't know how many are on a row in the JHL but I know my seat number and where it's position is,so to remove season ticket holders for 4 rows would equate to upwards of 800 fans being asked to relocate

I hope you're right but bearing in mind our seats are possibly three of the best seats on the back row opposite the halfway line in the JHL I find it unlikely. I've asked the club for confirmation so we'll see.

Not if it is for only half the length of the stand - the information we have on here is that proper boxes are being created next to Sean Dyche's and the one for the players families - the club will want to keep the other half with the main event room in it's current basic layout (it attraxts a lotof non matchday-income, though that could do with a refurb too

As this issue now seems to be a major concern for some fans, I've asked the question of the club as to what is going on.

I think we do remarkably well to sell as many tickets as we do, considering that the final 1-2,000 seats on offer are dire. Open to the elements, poor sight lines.

Yes, we desperately need more/better hospitality, but again, it’s the average fan that will be left to pay the price. We are crying out for more premium seating and better facilities.

A major overhaul of the Turf can’t come soon enough.

I've now received a response from the club's SLO on this -

There are some planned upgrades to the stadium and one of the uplift projects will be focussing on the James Hargreaves suit and its associated seating areas (that are sold in conjunction with boxes or match by match hospitality).
Anyone affected by these plans will be contacted individually to discuss what this will mean for them, explain what we will do next / what the next steps are, this contact has started.
It won’t be myself doing this it will be a senior staff member from our hospitality team - of course if anyone wants to contact me with their feedback then please offer my details.

If you think that you might be affected and want to contact the club - slo@burnleyfc.com

It's an odd one , as you would imagine that there would be a general communication for all impacted. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I have emailed the slo a week ago, but no reply yet
Thanks for your assistance though

Waiting to see if people renew before giving them the option of an upgrade.

Maybe they want to contact everyone affected personally, rather than just sending out a generic message by email.

But if they don't renew then they've no need to be contacted/informed. Also, maybe they needed to see just how many people in the affected seats renew before they can decide what other seating options they can offer for them.

Surely the best way would be to have clear and open communication, notifying what rows and blocks are impacted. It would be good to know, rather than second guessing.

If 800 seats are taken out of action by corporate then it's time to have a look at how supporters from the top tier can use facilities at the bottom.

Admittedly I haven't been in since the Aberdeen game, but the concourse upstairs is far smaller with a lot more fans to feed and water.
Downstairs will be half empty now it's that big.

Just had a call from someone who sits on the back and they've just had a call from the club telling them that 132 seats over 3 rows are being removed. But he didn't give her any info on what her options were (which seems a bit silly!)

We don't come close to selling out for the majority of games with capacity as it is.
We don't sell out so we don't need an increase is a very simplistic way of looking at it. Plenty of times the only seats left are single seats dotted around the stands, front row in the corners, restricted view, etc. They aren't seats that are going to entice families or new fans.

Do we know how many priority 1 ticket holders there are approximately?

Agree with aggi, the seats remaining, generally are really poor

9000 but don't know just how many of those have actually renewed. There are 6000 in Phase 2.

I used to sit directly behind a pillar in the BL when i worked there mid 90s, just as you come from the entrance to the 100 Club/VPs area. The only time it affected my view was when play was directly infront of me and it was easy to peer around the pillar - the one more or less central on this photo. Apart from that i had an uninterrupted view of the game

Thinking about it this will actually enable them to provide a premium seat offering the following season, as I have previously suggested, there will be people who have used the hospitality regularly but will not pay that price but will stall wants quality seating, my guess is in the upper tier central blocks. Overall pricing is likely to become far more fragmented.

My step father and a couple of others used to go in there before the game. They gave up as there were a couple of people in there who would go in early, move about 10 chairs around a table and and sit there waiting for their friends to arrive and telling anyone that the seats were taken. They complained a few times to the staff in there who didn't seem interested, so they took their custom elsewhere.

The premium seat offering is in the Longside with the seating in that area and just outside. If they’ve retained the plans from last summer just half of the area will be converted into boxes with the other half an open premium seat area.

I understand that the new outside seating is in blocks 5 and 6, so right on the halfway line. Not sure just how that affects the open space layout inside and just what effect if will have on holding functions in there?

Your correct talking about the current/historical offering - I am speculating about a potential future offering with a lot of relabelling being done

"I understand this will be an inconvenience". Just for the record Mr Pace that's an enormous understatement.
