Is that the ones behind the Burnley directors which will match up the hospitality on the Jimmy Mac side of the director's area ?Blondeclaret wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 8:22 pmLeisure.
After having seats in this block for over 10yrs we were notified last week by phone that all seats in that block
BDB would not be available . They said that at some point they would be used for hospitality only. We would be offered seats elsewhere in the Bob lord stand.
I believe a total of approximately 300 seats are to be given to hospitality between the James Hargreaves & the Bob Lord stands.

Possibly but there would be no point in them contacting you if you weren't going to/hadn't renewed.dougcollins wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 9:28 pmWe renewed in the JHL before we were contacted -I assumed that was deliberate from the club.

It could definitely sway a decision to renew if you're told you're losing your seat.
But I have a feeling that's not quite what you meant.

Cheers, I'll be expecting a call then. I think most thoughts will already have been covered higher up this thread.Blondeclaret wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 10:04 pmThe claret seats behind the directors box halfway line Bob lord.

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
Missed this entire thread up to now. A few thoughts:
1. Improved facilities crucial and look good.
2. Very crass treatment of the evicted fans which frankly is incompetence, even small businesses look after their customers better. Hard to blame the new board for this, the club has been like this for ages, the new board will still have their incumbent staff.
3. Surprising if the T&Cs allow eviction after renewal, since at that point there is offer and acceptance (note - I’m not a lawyer, thankfully ). The wording I saw seems to imply a move to an equivalent seat from time to time - not permanently. I doubt the club can be stopped from changing things, but I would have thought some proper compensation may have been in order, e.g. a half price season ticket. Regardless of the legal position it would have been a classy thing to do.
4. The facilities in the JHL would seem to be needed now by JHU because one is getting emptier and the other is dangerously packed, particularly post pandemic but it was grim before. Some work needs doing with the health and safety (and fire) people to find a way to share these concourses.
All in all, leisure worldwide is getting more and more middle class, with poorer people frozen out. Sadly, BFC isn’t immune. Difficult to see it changing. I do OK and can afford things but find it all a bit depressing.

I've contacted the club again to ask for clarity on this, as I was definitely told initially that there were no plans to extend into the BL this coming season.Claret Till I Die wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 10:32 pmI've renewed and I sit fairly close to the front. Not had a call as yet....

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
Hasn’t the block behind the directors box been hospitality since our first season in the PL? The padded the seats, put armrests on. Over ten years ago.

No people pay for their tkts, some seats are given to ex players and staff who served the club over many many years but no hospitality is available Just a seat.

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
While we naturally need a big increase in the corporate side it’s another small nail in the “ ground atmosphere “ coffin that seems to lose a little every season . Not been great since plenty of JHU fans moved over to CFS ( which apart from 10 mins of boozed up /coked up isolated chanting is a drain on the overall atmosphere )

I’ve sat in the JH lower. I’m tall and couldn’t sit comfortably and I got drenched( start of Storm Desmond)
And we lost three nil to Preston.
Not a good place for me.

Not sure just why you got a call but just had it confirmed that there are no planned changes to seating in the BL for this coming season.Blondeclaret wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 8:22 pmLeisure.

For anyone going into the ticket office to relocate it is worth noting that you can look at a image of the view from available seats. Unfortunately not all the ticket office staff were aware/able to use said system

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
We have clarified this information and it appears the BDB Seats will be available for next season but not afterwards.
The wording was that they will be taken for hospitality 21/22 season or 22/23 season and it appears the later.

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
All leans towards needing to build a bloody great single tier, safe standing stand to replace the CFS to offer "cheap seats" which would in turn provide atmosphere.
Bring it on!

I think having a much wider range of pricing than we have historically operated is very much an American Sports modelŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:55 pmAll leans towards needing to build a bloody great single tier, safe standing stand to replace the CFS to offer "cheap seats" which would in turn provide atmosphere.

All ‘Super Boxes’ sold from what I’ve been told.

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
well we now know how much the club are spending on the refit of the main suite in the James Hargreaves stand - from my interpretation of this new Job advert - this is just talking about the area where it is £1800 +VAT for the season - that is £2m (they are moving the kitchen and toilets) no indication as to what the new boxes are costing unfortunately
https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/con ... ns-manager
I must admit I thought this was Chris Gibson's role

Re: James Hargreaves lower/hospitality
I would think that the job role is for someone that reports direct to Chris as his title is “Director of Hospitality.”Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 3:09 amwell we now know how much the club are spending on the refit of the main suite in the James Hargreaves stand - from my interpretation of this new Job advert - this is just talking about the area where it is £1800 +VAT for the season - that is £2m (they are moving the kitchen and toilets) no indication as to what the new boxes are costing unfortunately
