a world record, imagine the price if he wasn't a life long Bayern fan
you have to think that this transfer market for managers is only going to grow, as prices are quite cheap given how devastating it could be for a club to lose a management team, here I suspect the time given to sort out a successor has helped, though only in Germany does this not seem to cause a drop off in performances of the team overall

The buyout clause for Dyche is, or was, about £5 million wasn't it?
We got about £4 million for Howe I think.

Given the importance of a manager I'm surprised £20M isn't considered a normal fee, I know Dyche is paid more than the players here but it must be the only place that happens.

more and more in the elite leagues the manager/coach is the highest paid at the club, only the truly huge players get more
Before Jose was given the boot - it is possibly only at United where a player earns more than the manager in the big 6 ( I do not know what Ollie is paid) - De Bruyne's new deal is huge but Pep reportedly gets more

If a new contract was offered to Dyche could we substancially increase the buy out figure for him or is that something that would hinder him signing the contract!
