Danny Ings

Post by huw.Y.WattfromWare » Thu Apr 29, 2021 5:00 pm

Out for the season. Vastly improving our chances of finishing above Saints but ruining his chances of going to the Euros.
Hamstring injury picked up against Spurs recently.

That's a real pity for the lad but, as you say, it does some damage to Southampton's prospects.

Sad news for Danny and very sad news for Southampton.
They have picked up only 5 points in the 7 games in which he hasn't appeared as opposed to 31 points in the 25 in which he has appeared.
They have 6 matches left to play including Fulham.

We'd have won there quite easily if he wasn't playing. Such a shame for him. Injury plagued career has dtopped him being a top four side player and regular England international.

Cracking player but doesn’t half get his fair share of injuries.

It's a real shame for him as his career has been blighted so often by injury, but it's also bloody annoying that he was back for our game down there and basically made all the difference that day. Other than against us, I always wish him well.

Check-out all Danny's goals in a Claret shirt. Something special I can tell you

Hugely disappointing for him, it seems every time he gets motoring and people suggest an upward move his body lets him down again. As others have mentioned it’s a pity his returns so often involve being fit to cause us problems.

Shame for the lad. Should have made the Euros. Best striker bar Kane and he is different enough to play alongside Kane.

Met him a few times, nice bloke, did a few nice things for a young lad I know

Would have loved him to have gone the euros but we have some top class attacking options and he’d have not got any minutes
