Can you name Premier League's top Welsh scorers?
Quick BBC quiz obviously due to Gareth Bale's scoring heroics at the weekend. I got 14/19, but there's a couple of obscure ones you might struggle to guess.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56967249

Number 16, Robert Earnshaw - that's some achievement. Our Chris has a lot to do!
'He is the only player to have scored a hat-trick in each of the top four divisions in England, the League Cup, the FA Cup and in international football.'

Yes it's a common quiz question which I should have known the answer too, but for some reason I couldn't remember him, it's not a record I can see being matched anytime soon, mainly because no player is likely to play at all those levels, although I suppose if you get an international striker who's getting towards the end of their career they may enjoy a brief stint in the lower leagues.

I didn't know that about Mark lawrenson.
A clue "**** recent Chesterfield manager but still better than caldwell" would have got two answers - as long as you just used the surnames.

I thought Luther Blissett had also done this feat. He did get the international one but possibly not the 4th Division as he only scored 6 goals in their promotion year. Although 3 of them COULD have come in one game.tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 6:08 pmYes it's a common quiz question which I should have known the answer too, but for some reason I couldn't remember him, it's not a record I can see being matched anytime soon, mainly because no player is likely to play at all those levels, although I suppose if you get an international striker who's getting towards the end of their career they may enjoy a brief stint in the lower leagues.

Not if wiki is correct, they state he scored all 6 in different games, he did nab a HT on his England debut, but failed to net again for the national team.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 7:01 pmI thought Luther Blissett had also done this feat. I did wonder about Vardy for this stat, but I don't think he ever played at the 4th tier.
