Ok so let’s see if I’ve got this right. I couldn’t renew in March 2020 as early bird period closed early. I am now having to wait another week until May 24th to place a “deposit” on my seat (which I have had for over 20 years paying up front every year). I have £95 “on account”. Goodness only knows whether I can use some of that to pay my £10.
I am also a little disappointed that those of us in phase 2 with such a long history of season tickets (myself about 40 years) have no chance of attending the Liverpool game (not that I would have bothered with the stadium being so empty).

Let’s see if I’ve got this right. You’re grumbling about not being able to attend something you wouldn’t have attended. As well as grumbling about not being able to buy something you didn’t buy?

Not to complicate matters but do we know when general season ticket sales will be released?

And to explain further. I always renew my season ticket IN FULL very near the end of the early bird period. I think that is good wise use of my money. I choose to pay in full as it helps me budget. Many others have obviously used the DD option and have given their money to the club over a period of time and therefore LATER than I usually do. Rant over.

Its amazing to see how the tide has changed with some posters on here. When this all started last year and people were stating hey were not interested, feel out of love with football, in financial difficulties and therefore no matter what they need the money now and would forgo anything as life is bigger than the season ticket which absolutely understandable, but now when there is match available its I want to be part of the party again. Lifestyle changes and priorities will change for everyone around the world after lockdown, but please dont blame the club for decisions taken forced by lifestyle changes.

I’d suggest given the state of affairs with the phase 2 renewals being put on hold (and potentially balloted) until stadium capacity is clarified, this will be very late.

Given the club’s form for organisation, I’d assume about 5 minutes after full time of the first game, with priority given to those who bought a twix last season ;)

In answer to Leisure, I’ve no idea.
Does anyone else have an issue when going into the Ticket Ballot Application page that it reads No event products have been found? If so have you managed to get round this problem?

I hope that there's no buffering on the stream because I'll be doubly mad then.

I'm guessing that one of the factors is that the capacity of the CFS has been deducted from the overall capacity (as it's probably been deemed not suitable to use owing to restricted space on the concourse and the small number of enfrances/exits to the seats).

They are not opening the CFS, I’m assuming because it is so tight there and because the that is where the players come out from

Take the CFS capacity out of it and 3500 will be the 25%

Edit: started typing that before Leisure reply. Got distracted which is why took so long

The common sense approach was to follow the instructions sent out last December about linking your accounts and dealing with it then if you had a problem. That’s what I did.
Just checked the article which the club released in December and it makes no mention of 'linking' accounts or the SSO.

Not sure how you can complain if you didnt renew / stopped paying due to the pandemic. I refused to pay up front for something that could’t be delivered or a year in advance for something that might be delivered. I have had a season ticket for many years but I’ve no interest in attending the Liverpool game and will wait to see what next season brings in terms of attendances. Having said this the price hikes for phase 2 renewals are short sighted of the club but Leisure is doing a good job dealing with this.

Well it’s now Saturday..... and I have applied for the ballot. I wasn’t expecting much if I’m honest.... the internet breaking under the strain or something else to go wrong. Relatively straightforward and it seems the club is improving its online relationship with the fans. Good to see at least for me.
Seems others are having the usual ‘mare.
Anyway, I’m in the ballot, so we will wait and see.

I think it’s part of the problem it may be some people got the message and others didn’t, I clearly recall getting an e-mail about it - specifically the SSO and linking accounts. It may have been around December time but could have been earlier. My reference to December was from a screenshot on this forum which referenced it, and I can’t find that now.

I just managed to do it for me and my Dad on my account. Do you have them added to your friends and family list? My Dad’s clarets number was showing as selectable just below mine on a drop down list after I had selected that I wanted to apply for two tickets.

Just gone in and entered for 3 tickets and then got this message -

In order to purchase your selected product, Liverpool FC-Ballot Application, other products need to have been processed to meet the eligibility criteria. You must have Season Ticket 2021-2022. You will need to reallocate these items to another customer and update your basket.
Product Liverpool FC-Ballot Application can only be purchased once logged-in.
A maximum of 1 tickets for Liverpool FC-Ballot Application can be purchased. Customer currently has 78 currently purchased or booked for Liverpool FC-Ballot Application.

Don't know where the 78 currently purchased has come from??????

There isn't a friends and family add for this game as i think it stipulates one ticket per ST holder application only, which seems reyt to me. My mate who currently isn't a ST holder but on my F&F list shouldn't be eligible for a ticket. No one should unless they are a ST holder. Apologies if your F&F is a ST holder, i may have misunderstood.

You can apply for up to 6 via F and F but they must be 'live' season ticket holders.

I suspect all the accounts involved will need to have gone through the SSO/account linking process.

That seems just plain wrong to me... I don't mean factually wrong, i mean just wrong. Theoretically, five people who HAVEN'T supported the club by keeping their money with the club during the pandemic can benefit over those that have? They just `know` a ST holder. :?

This ballot should be what i `thought` it was. If you have left your money in the club, you go to the ballot, if you didn't, you can't apply. If this is anything other than that, then this wonderful gesture by the club will have become a massive own goal, alienating the very people it is hoping to reward.

Am i getting this spectacularly wrong? It's entirely possible and wouldn't be the first time.

If this is anything other than that, then this wonderful gesture by the club will have become a massive own goal, alienating the very people it is hoping to reward.
All members of the F&F group still have to be season ticket holders.

They have to have paid for season ticket to be eligible for the ballot, even on F & F I think?

she is shown on my friends and family list, but she hasn't registered for a separate SSO account?

Do you and your dad have separate SSO accounts?
They must not need the SSO, the other two on my F & F do not have it set up yet....

What isn’t clear with the F&F option is if it’s all or nothing. I.e. is it possible some in the group will get tickets and others not or will all get tickets or none get tickets?

You can just select the ones who you want to apply for tickets for up to 6 people and then you'll either get tickets for all that you applied for or none.

I read on the club info yesterday that either all the group who applied will get tickets or none of the group will get tickets.

Keep calm mate.
You cant just apply for everyone who might be on your family & friends list. As Leisure states above, only people who have a current "live" season ticket (those who left their money with the club) are eligible for the ballot.
