Oli McBurnie

Post by Quickenthetempo » Mon May 10, 2021 2:01 pm

Could be the first player to go down twice in a season.

Video all over twitter showing him fighting. Certainly doesn't look good for him but I'm sure there is more to it.

Not much context in the videos.

Was it him who got in trouble for his behaviour watching a Cardiff Swansea game a couple of years ago?

This is a relief - when I saw the thread title I thought we'd been linked with him

After seeing the video, I think best case scenario for him will be that he won't play again this season.....

Just had a quick look at the video. Not a great look, especially as the other party look like a group of 15 year old kids.

There’s more to it of course, but McBurnie doesn’t do himself any favours by approaching the group and looking like the aggressor, even if he has been provoked.

Thought he was decent at Swansea and someone we should’ve gone in for. Probably dodged a bullet.

You can almost guarantee that the lads deserved it but it doesn't make it right.

The saving grace was it was a 21yr old assaulted. Early thoughts were it was young teens.

Currently out with a fractured foot, I take it that it isn't his stamping foot that is fractured

The video is just weird. What made him react so badly? Surely not just being filmed! :?

Maybe the lad using the 'C' word tipped the scales. It does appear to be a popular swear word amongst a certain group of person.

What group of people?

I use it all the time, so long as my mum isn't within hearing distance :?

It's prevalent down south so no surprise with you! :D

I attended a Wedding before lockdown which was highly themed in all things Leeds United. Attendance was lots of 'Football Lads' with a guest list of persons from good breeding. I was shocked at the liberal use of the 'C word' including the Groom during his speech

In short then - young excitable yobs who support Leeds!

I'll have you know I've spent more of my life up north than I have down here!
Admittedly I've picked up the lingo down here these last 9 yrs

Prefer using Twohat though, which raised some eyebrows the other day when I had an altercation with someone, probably the last word he expected to hear.

Even if he deserved it, it's still against the law to assault someone. Will end paying him 20 grand to make it go away and keep his job.

Quite ironic with all the fuss being made over social media abuse. When a “celebrity” is abused to his face and does something about it he is deemed to be in the wrong.
The world would be a much better place if a few more slaps were handed out.

Presumably the instigator will be arrested for harassment. I wonder how smart he will feel with a criminal record.
