Stretching a Point
Given that Fulham and West Brom may now get nothing from their remaining games (and making assumptions about goal difference) we may actually have secured our position in the PL after game 25, the home draw against Fulham on 17 Feb. Not bad after amassing two points from our first seven games!

Re: Stretching a Point
The studio discussion after last night's game included someone saying about Fulham not having a win in their 1st 7 games, "You are always going to find it difficult to stay up with a start like that!" Wouldn't they have been informed that was the case for both teams out their last night?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 3:26 pmand being below Fulham at that point which everyone in the media seems to have forgotten about

They knew, before the match they were saying it never crosses their mind we would go down even when we start every season by never winning in the first 5 games, bfcmik wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 6:26 pmThe studio discussion after last night's game included someone saying about Fulham not having a win in their 1st 7 games, "You are always going to find it difficult to stay up with a start like that!" I suspect the point they were making was it was an inexperienced team with a lot of new faces arriving after the start of the season with a very short closed season, that had started poorly. - we had a reasonably settled squad a number of players missing with short term injuries and bags of nous. Fulham's was always a weaker position particularly once Dyche focused on the task at hand
