New LED Signage and Big Screens
As I mentioned in another post great new plans to maximise advertising and revenue for the club.
Plus the addition of two huge screens.
Was on a call with the club this morning and this is just the start!
Big improvement and a good start to the new era.

That all looks and sounds very nice and modern and I applaud what they are doing for us as fans.
I just hope that it's not to the detriment of team building and we become a club of "all fur coat and no knickers"

Looks great. My only worry is that the mock-up of how the outside of the JH stand will look doesn’t show the existing legend pictures that were put up a few years ago. Hope they aren’t a casualty of this change.

Hope it works as planned however Seeing the ball/players can be hard enough at times depending where you sit, I'm not sure more digital flashing advertisements will help that.
I'm not sure which fans were liased with to come up with that initiative to "improve fan experience"
Hopefully itll be fantastic, with it actually benefiting the fans, and the revenue created helps move the onfield side if things forward.

One thing is for sure, no one can say that Alan Pace is letting the grass grow under his feet. (Mikel Arteta will be pleased.)
It all looks very impressive, and with advertisers paying for most of it, it shouldn't cost too much either.
Let's hope the onfield improvements are just as good.
C'mon you PL Clarets.

Grumps, they are installing the latest poke you awake mechanics at the back off the Bob Lord where big plastic fingers drop out of the new digital roof that poke you awake during the game. they are hoping to add a system that also drops tartan car blankets & thermos flasks of bovril & leaf tea during specific stoppages during the game. Rumours of therapy dogs coming out from under seats but will be classed as an extra on season tickets...

No one has spoken to us about them being removed. The artists impression suggests they are being removed though.

Im 56 and think its great.
They have restored the unbeaten record plaque, i remember seeing it paint splattered in the cricket field stand at one time.
Stadium wifi hopefully next, they obviously believe these changes will bring bigger sponsors onboard.
Hopefully they are right, if they could bring a USA corporate client onboard it would help solve lots of the revenue issues.
Top sponsors expect star treatment.

Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
The most important part of this is that Pope and Tarky are on the screens so must still be here next season...
But in all seriousness, should hopefully look good.

Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
The screen on top of the corner stand currently is already very impressive in my opinion, the size of this looks absolutely insane. I cannot actually think of a club off the top of my head with a screen as big as this would be.
It is certainly impressive, particularly the LED signs going between tiers - I think that will be a good touch and look quite impressive. Once again though, you cannot help but think that the positioning of our TV camera gantry somewhat hinders Alan Pace's desire to outwardly improve global/UK perception of our stadium. I wonder if they would ever consider shifting it to the Bob Lord (I don't think it would be possible really). I can imagine that will form part of any planning for a replacement/redevelopment of that stand.
As much as I personally thoroughly enjoy the view above the Bob Lord from my seat within the stadium, I can see the thinking in trying to convey a modern, cutting edge appearance on broadcast to viewers outside of our fanbase.

Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
I would agree jedi re the perception of the ground with the BL being in front of camera.
In favour of this as the current static boards for the likes of Farmhouse Biscuits look a bit tinpot to me.
I would hasten to add I am sure they offer a cracking bourbon.

Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
If you put the gantry at the back of the Bob Lord, then you won't see the big screens at all (just like the current residents can't) because the roof slopes down and hides them.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:38 pmOnce again though, you cannot help but think that the positioning of our TV camera gantry somewhat hinders Alan Pace's desire to outwardly improve global/UK perception of our stadium. Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
Yeah it would be very difficult to position the gantry in (or above?) the BL Stand currently. As I say, I believe it will form part of any redevelopment of that stand. That isn't based on anything other than the club seemingly wanting to advertise itself under the new ownership better than it ever has before.

I think these video screen ideas look great. Makes ground look much more up to date, attracts more sponsors and doesn’t ruin the old school feel of the ground either.

I’m hoping the digitised images were based on an old photo from before the legends boards went up.
Otherwise very impressive.

I wonder if the screen currently in use will be recycled as the screen to replace the next fixture board?
All looks very impressive, I just hope they’re not the annoying flashing strobe-like adverts that distract from the game. I realise that’s exactly what they’re meant to do but I’d rather watch the game than be reminded to book that trip to Rwanda I’ve always been meaning to take.

I don't think it's really being done for the fans. I've never been at a match and thought "I could do with seeing more adverts that flash a bit more".Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 12:52 pmThat all looks and sounds very nice and modern and I applaud what they are doing for us as fans.

Given the video mock up shows a digital version of the legends boards I think it’s safe to say they will be replaced. A real shame as I think they’re great. Hopefully theyll go down the walkway by the side if the cricket club when that gets a much needed spruce up.FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 2:17 pmGiven the video mock up shows a digital version of the legends boards I think it’s safe to say they will be replaced. Failing that they could maye go on the concourse either side the food and drinks kiosks, makes for some reading whilst in the queues
Failing that possibly 1 at the side if each of the steps/walkways that takes you from the concorse to your seats, must be 40 ish of those

Disappointed there isn’t a mock up of GM Fitted Furniture on there.
No consideration for the traditionalists…….
In all seriousness - providing they are not distracting whilst watching the game, I think these help bring the stadium more into the modern era.

Suspect you'll hardly notice them when the ground is full and there's a game being played. They're there for the TV camera's during the match and the fans at HT/FT.clarethomer wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 2:48 pmIn all seriousness - providing they are not distracting whilst watching the game, I think these help bring the stadium more into the modern era.

The old building was full of cockroaches, and they supplied Harrods even then. Don't know what the new one is like but it's my guess, that like most big food factories, it won't be much different.

Re: New LED Signage and Big Screens
This is brilliant news. Will really give TM a facelift and help accelerate the ground in to the 21st century. It's this type of facility we should have as a Premier League team.
I don't know if this was already well in process before Alan Pace became Chairman, but he's certainly making his mark for the better. And doing it with urgency, which is promising. With this, the promotion of the women's team and the esports focus, it certainly feels "exciting times".
Only slightly disappointing factor for me are that they don't come with a facelift for the JM and JH stands. There's much that could be done to improve the facade of those stands to integrate them with the corner stands.

Exactly. Not to be harsh, but i'm increasingly getting the impression from fb comments on stories like this, where fans immediately gripe "better be spending on the squad instead of this stuff" that some of our fans are just plain thick.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 2:06 pmLooks good, modern etc.
