Morning all.
Looking forward to this game.
Got a good feeling we will be in the points today despite playing the biggest club in europe.

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Hope we're up for this today, but I have my doubts now we're safe, good to see Dunne, Nartey and Richardson on the bench, though whether they'll get any minutes is questionable.
Congrats to Charlie on his century. Charlie Taylor makes his 100th Premier League appearance for Burnley today.
He joins the 100 club in terms of PL appearances, and that list must be growing rapidly now, I guess Dwight will be the next to reach that milestone, and if you'd have said a decade ago we'd have over a dozen BFC players who'd managed over 100 appearances at this level people would have thought you were , so this feat alone shows just how far we've progressed as a club over the past decade or so.

Yes, our intensity understandably tends to drop after we've achieved whatever our objective for the season is. Plus this squad definitely needs a good rest after the season we've had

True! but the blatant injustice at Elland Road should have them fired up if nothing else.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 12:12 pmYes, our intensity understandably tends to drop after we've achieved whatever our objective for the season is. Comms already moaning about late offside flags.
It is so simple. You play on, if a goal is scored you review, if not you play on. No need to stop the game for a FK.

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Stupid rule to flag so late - but it looked to be very tight ok the initial replay, in which case should be not have let it play on, allowing VAR to do its job if required?

Yes that’s annoying by the linesman
He can’t have been 100% sure then and so you play on and it’s reviewed if we score

I said exactly this on the Fulham match thread.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 12:37 pmComms already moaning about late offside flags.

If it’s obviously offside flag straight away.
If it’s a close call, play on and review if there’s a goal

Vydra appeared offside to me but, as said, it was tight enough to let play continue and review if necessary

Looks like Dwight has been given licence to play more central role.
He’s spent most of of his time within the width of the 18yrd box

No wonder Leeds have done so well this season. I didn't realise every time one of their players falls over it's a free kick.
