We need blazing sun setting over the cricketfield stand so their centre halves can't see our intricate passing balls coming down from the stratosphere for Wood to head in.

I was thinking Pool wouldn't be that bothered after drawing with West Brom. Then Alisson popped up.

Another tough game. Can't see us getting anything at all.

Those were my thoughts before the Leeds game on our prospects of picking up any points from our last 3 games.

Reinforced by Sheffield United winning at Everton.

It will be raining goals in our net again unfortunately.

Unless we go back to the old style of just defending our 18 yard box and don't expose the centre halves

Reckon they'll send Allison up for corners from the start. Hope we've got a plan for defending them.

In that case, I hope BPF catches them and punts the ball at their goal. Not sure he can kick that far though.

The only thing that might go in our favour is their central partnering defenders. They did not look comfy v WBA. If the Vydra/Wood partnership works on the night, we could give them some problems

Having said that Trent Arnold, plus Salah/Fiminio/Mane look recently like they are starting to gel again

It is just what what we need, a return to the Turf with good weather as opposed to trudging around in these frequent hail induced storms.

Smiles all around on Wednesday night please regardless of the fact it is a Liverpool side making a desperate bid for Europe.
