Have you watched Haaland play? He’s a beast and Kane tends to not be able to manage a full season.
You’ll be telling me the Yank at Barnsley is better than Haaland next
Haaland is an unreal player, I just think Kane is better and has proven himself.
Timo Werner looked incredible in the bundesliga last year, look at him in the premier league now. Haaland may turn out to be just as good but he will have to go to a bigger club and prove himself first.

Yet in the last 7 seasons in the Premier League he has scored (ignoring the 57 goals in other comps and assists)
21 in 34 games
25 in 38 games
29 in 30 games
30 in 37 games
17 in 28 games
18 in 29 games
22 in 33 games
And has scored 34 goals in 53 games for England.
No wonder you have such a downer on our players if you think Kane isn't that good
A downer on our players? I think you’re confusing me with someone else.
You seem to have a habit of doing that.

There’s an FCBurnley if that helps?
I criticised Wood earlier in the season but he’s rightfully been lauded for his recent form and is probably my POTY now.
Find me some posts where I’ve been overly critical of our players.

BurnleyFC / FCBurnley you've just twisted your username round now
I would class that as cheating

Yeah hes only the best all round striker england has had for the past 5 years or more

2 English teams in the champions league final is a good indicator it is the best in the world
Is it? It depends on how you are measuring it. 1 season doesn't define the league to be the best in the world. My point is more that other leagues are looked down upon and we believe we are the best at everything. Just on this thread we have people saying that foreign sides are like league 2 sides when that is far from the truth.

You obviously haven't seen Haaland play that much then. He is the best out an out striker i have seen since the propper Ronaldo. That is how good i believe he is.

Hopefully both are in the premier league next season so we can judge.
Both would get 30 goals playing for City but I would choose Haaland as he's a lot younger and has years left with a sell on value to match.

Still a risk, the lad has had one decent season for Dortmund. He’s wanting wages close to 500k a week.
Kane is reaching the peak of his career and has proven he is a world class striker.
Would say Haaland is a great prospect but not world class yet.
he’s scored 38 goals in 41 games for dortmund at the age of 20 - how is that not world class?

Playing league 2 teams week in week out
Burnley would beat 80% of bundesliga teams

To compare you'd have to look at the comparable teams in each division:
Alaves are currently 15th in La Liga,
Strasbourg likewise in the French League
And Arminia in the German league.
How would we compare to those teams?

Timo Werner got 28 in 31 games for Leipzig last season. Is he world class?
Like I said I think Haaland will be world class but let’s be clear if you wanted to Guarantee your striker was going to fit and perform straight away you would go for Kane.
I honestly think Kane at city scores 30 goals every season.

With the chances they make, I'd say 30 if he's out with his customary foot injury
If he doesn't get injured, it will be more.

Harry Kane is the only English player who can be called World Class.
Random stat when Defoe won the title with Rangers he was the 87th former Spurs player to win a trophy, since Spurs last won a trophy.

It’s because people in this country are brainwashed into believing that the PL is the best in the world and that everywhere els is inferior.
Go look at the two teams in the CL final, go look at the Spanish v English h2h stats.

What’s so funny about that?
He is in the top two strikers in world football currently.
Lewandowski and Kane are levels above every other striker.
Lukaku, Haaland, Mbappe, Kane and Lewandowski are probably the 5 best. I'd have Mbappe and Halaand above the rest.

Things aren't panning out too well for Tottenham at the moment
Jose Mourinho sacked
Beaten in the Wembley Final
Unlikely to make the top 4
Harry Kane expressing a desire to leave the club
No wonder Daniel Levy was so keen to sIgn Tottenham up for the ESL and guarantee European football.

Last 10 Champs League - Spain 5 wins England 3 wins (including this years) Germany 2
Still some say we have the best sides in Europe

If we are using UEFA's club coefficient (scoreboard of how each country's league's clubs perform in Europe over a rolling 5 year period) then the PL has just overtaken the Spanish league as the best one.
England 100.283 (with some more points guaranteed on Saturday as the CL winner is guaranteed PL side)
Spain 97.855
Italy 75.483
Germany 73.570
France 56.081
Portugal 48.549
Everyone else a long way behind

Personally think Spurs are getting a cracking deal there.
I rate Kane. He is clinical when he gets a chance. But think all three parties come out happy here.
This is like when shearer should’ve gone to Man Utd.
Only team that doesn’t is us. Kane and city already put enough goals past us independent of each other!

If Kane goes to City he could be the leagues top goalscorer if he only plays in the the two games against us.

Kane looked far from world class at the Euros, even if it was in a defensively dull side.
I wouldn't be splashing 150m on him.

28yrs old, will most likely over take shearer before he retires if he carries in scoring at the rate he does.
He guarantees goals, averages 20 league goals a season.

Tbf we barely beat Aberdeen over 2 legs, I think the Premier League is the best league in the world but this myth about how every other league is full of crap is rubbish. The bottom teams in the Premier League are shite too, not just the Bundesliga/La Liga.

This Kane deal might be the one to really kick start the market this summer, usually it takes just one deal to trigger a domino effect.
My only worry is Spurs come sniffing around Chris Wood, but I'm not convinced he'd fit into their system, so all being well we'll be able to hold onto our leading marksman.
Does this finally mean Pep is going to play a proper number 9, his experiment backfired spectacularly in the CL final, and perhaps he's finally learned you need a natural striker to win you the big games.
There's no question Kane will guarantee you goals, the concern for City is whether his fitness will hold up, and when it's a recurring injury that would set the alarm bells ringing for me, even for City £150m is a large outlay for just one player, even someone with Kane's prolific record.
And don't forget a lot of those goals were ably assisted by Son, they built up arguably the best understanding in the PL, sure City have quality players, but it may take Harry Kane time to gel with his new teammates, and should he go 3/4/5 games without finding the net, then the pressure will quickly build when he's gone for silly money.
How can Man City still comply with FFP when they're splashing out a fortune on the England captain? or do such trivial matters not apply to them.

I don’t see Harry Kane fitting in at Manchester City. He’s better with runners around him. Manchester City play like England did a couple of times with more technical players a la Foden/Mount/Grealish. He’d be better off at Manchester United with Rashford/Sancho/Martial running in behind.

Kane will always score goals. Hes good on the deck and in the air. Strong. Reasonably quick. And clinical when he has a chance.
He isn't great on the eye. And if he doesnt score you could say he doesnt bring much else to the table. But you can't argue with his goalscoring record.
City need a proper goalscorer. Can see them winning the champions league with Kane.

I think that if the move takes place Kane would benefit and so would Man city as well as probably England once he has improved his technical awareness under Pep.
I must admit that I tend to enjoy more of their games on TV than others (apart from when they play us!!). But this sort of money is beyond ridiculous and makes me sick. I do not understand the FFP rules anyway but if this is acceptable then there clearly are no real rules since anyone with money can just run riot. How can this be anywhere near fair?
