Re: Phase 2 renewals and Phase 3 update
Re: Phase 2 renewals and Phase 3 update
Just a reminder that the window for Phase 2 renewals starts this Monday (24th) with no end date for the period announced yet by the Club. Prices have been frozen at last season's prices but as the Club is still awaiting confirmation on what the ground capacity will be for next season it is unable to guarantee season tickets to the 4,000 supporters who are waiting to secure their seats in this Phase. However, supporters are able to place a refundable £10 deposit to confirm their interest in purchasing a season ticket, with the Club then able to process these applications as soon as a return to full capacity is confirmed. To date no information has been given on whether a Direct Debit option will be available. More information can be found on the Club website in the article Plans For Return of Supporters dated May 18, 2021.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Cheers.
So, IF full capacities are allowed next season and those in Phase 2 can buy a season ticket, are we keeping the seats we had in 2019/20 or are seat allocations up in the air?

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Morning all.
Long time reader of uptheclarets and first time registering and post because my friend who sits next to me on the back row of block 4 in the JHL has lost his seat.
We have had our seats since the stand was built but I pay monthly so have kept my seat but he pays cash upfront and has been informed it has been sold.
He had no luck with the ticket office even though he told them he doesn't use email or social media and they haven't informed him beforehand.
They are willing to move both himself and I to another part of the ground, which is quite insulting.
If it can't be sorted then they will lose two long time season ticket holders..........

Has he lost his seat due to the new corporate area ?
Re: Phase 2 renewals
I think he lost it due to not being media savvy and an old school approach to life.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
I think what he was referring to was is the seat that your friend has lost located in the section where the club have had to relocate supporters because of the new corporate facilities?

Re: Phase 2 renewals
I don’t think any 19/20 season ticket holders have lost their seat other than those displaced by the new corporate area. Because the window for seat swaps and general sales hasn’t yet opened.
Re: Phase 2 renewals
It's not included in the new corporate expansion.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
There are only existing season ticket holders who have lost their seat, and those are in that area. They haven't been sold to someone else though from what I have read just are no longer available due to the new corporate area.
I don't know how fans were informed of this decision (probably after the event if recent communications are anything to go by) but will only have lost his season due to this.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Did he have a season ticket for the 19/20 season and has he queried who his seat has been sold to? If it has been sold then I can only assume that it has wrongly been offered to one of the displaced fans. That seems unlikely to me, but considering how farcical some of this process has been perhaps it isn’t.

He had a season ticket in 19/20 season and wasn't informed until after the event.
I've told him to go back down and try again.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Don't forget that the club will have 4 matches on your team card that need to be a credit on the new OnAccount so the £10.00 required to reserve the season ticket can be paid from new account.
Re: Phase 2 renewals
We're not in the corporate area.
He pays cash upfront and I pay direct debit.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
When is the £10 deposit payable ? Is it before Monday or afterwards ? Not exactly straight forward. I wonder how many old timers just don’t bother with it anymore.
Re: Phase 2 renewals
We're in block 4 and I think it's 5 /6 that is affected

I know Tony that's why I have registered and posted to highlight a problem with my friends ticket.
I've told him to have another try at the ticket office.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
It's not the ticket office who have done this - the club have extended the corporate area and your friend is one who has lost his seat because of this. He should have been contacted to arrange a visit to select a new seat.
Re: Phase 2 renewals
Am I correct in saying that payment on account should show credit from last season also? Mine shows nothing currently. How can this be updated?
Re: Phase 2 renewals
Block 4 isn't affected.
I've got my seat and he has lost his but we sit next to each other....I pay direct debit and he pays cash upfront....but not this season.

Can you buy a season ticket online yet? The website is very difficult to navigate to get any info or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Season tickets aren't on sale - phase 1 is complete for people who left their money in, phase 2 starts next Monday for those who took their money out or had season tickets in 2019/20, but you can't buy one, you can only place a £10 refundable deposit.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:11 amCan you buy a season ticket online yet? And yes, the website is embarrassingly bad.

Hi. Yes the 4 games. Next question then is , how do I see what is on my team card? Apologies if this has been answered previouslyClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:10 amDo you mean the four games at the end of 2019/20? If so, they were converted to points on your team card.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Sadly this is not so. I have a friend in block 6 who is in the phase 2 process. His seat is no longer available as it is now occupied by a group who were displaced by the building work.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 10:31 amOnly those being displaced in the corporate area have lost their seats
Re: Phase 2 renewals
I've been to the ticket office.
He has lost his seat in an unaffected area because he didn't renew at the end of last season when we were all in lockdown. He doesn't do social media or email and was not contacted about the possibility of losing his seat via phone or letter.. only after the event was he informed.
I can have my seat or move with him to another set of seats after 26 years. No thank you ..
Once again the football clubs lack of communication comes to the forefront.
Not everybody is online.
Shame on them.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
The only people who could have taken your friends seat are those who have been relocated due to the extension of the corporate area. This is because new sales and the seat swapping period hasn’t opened. I’d be surprised if this is the case because 19/20 ticket holders were told that their seats would be safe for future purchase.Minimoog wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 12:45 pmI've been to the ticket office.

Before dishing out blame, or shame, it would be useful if your friend could clarify who has been able to purchase a season ticket in his seat.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
So someone who has lost his seat has been able to take someone else’s who has therefore now lost his seat? This could become never ending.
Re: Phase 2 renewals
According to the club's official policy, all people who had season tickets for 2019-20 are entitled to buy their own seat in phase 2 unless it's been taken for the corporate expansion. He wouldn't get an email about needing to renew earlier because that isn't the club policy. If his ticket has been sold to someone else, then the club's system isn't working properly. (Which would hardly be a surprise.)Minimoog wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 12:45 pmI've been to the ticket office.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
Bit like a domino effect, the numbers are not massive so perhaps so the problem becomes a smaller one each time. Still a ballacher for anyone affected. Think he is more ****** off with the letter saying he has lost his seat due to building works, when all his mates around him who renewed in phase 1 received no such letter.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 1:15 pmSo someone who has lost his seat has been able to take someone else’s who has therefore now lost his seat? As far as I'm aware he had a 2019/20 season ticket paid in cash...He didn't renew 2020/21 and has lost his seat...I've sent him down again with more information from above .
My seat is block 4 row s seat 74 at the end of the row... his seat is next me.

One of the posts above suggests that those who have lost their seats due to the corporate box expansion have been able to move to seats belonging to phase 2 people. Surely this is wrong. Otherwise (as a phase 2 person with a good seat) I am worried.

Seat 75.

Re: Phase 2 renewals
This has definitely happened. I am one of the displaced 132 and a mate [who is phase 2] has had a letter stating his seat is no longer available. He sits a few rows in front of me and people who are phase 1 either side of him have been unaffected. As a result, they are all moving
