Goalies matter, we have been well served in this department since Joe Hart but a capable/competent deputy to Pope is now required. 3 goals from 3 shots on target sums it up.

Re: REPORT: Home programme ends with another defeat
Just thinking back over the last few seasons and we haven't had a home win that many times at all to take us into the close season. Personally, I'm just relieved we managed to keep our place in the Premier league and that this season is virtually over. I want to go to the match again with my family, have a cup of tea or a pint beforehand and not have to listen to the sometimes smug, sometimes unprepared or sometimes just downright irritating pundits and commentators wittering on.

Spurs in 2010 is the only time we’ve won the final home game in the Premier League

Clearly our home form was relegation form however our heroics on the road kept us in the PL. Any team
Who wins at Arsenal Liverpool Wolves Everton Etc deserves to sit at the big table for at least another season. Hope we can finish with another away win on Sunday

After the final game of the season the players usually jump on a plane to a sunny resort. With the restrictions on air travel do you think any of them will head to Skegness or Southend ?.

I was thinking about that. Everton seemed to have a pretty miserable time at home this season. But was it the relegated teams who were the worst in this regard?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 8:27 pmNot so, believe or not. The home form wasn’t bottom three.

We have 18 and Everton have 22. We are 15th and 17th with Brighton in 16th place with 21.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 5:27 pmI was thinking about that. Everton seemed to have a pretty miserable time at home this season. But was it the relegated teams who were the worst in this regard?
Below us are, as you say, the three relegated clubs. West Brom have 15, Sheffield United 13 and Fulham 10 with the last two still having a home game remaining.
Away from home we are 12th with 21 points. We can't go up because Spurs are 11th with 26 points but Palace, Brighton and Newcastle could all finish above us should they get results and us lose.
