Re: Blackpool v Oxford
Gives Oxford a sniff at least, still a big ask for them to complete the recovery though.

I think the donkey lashers can start making their Wembley preparations now. What a mad opening period.
Re: Blackpool v Oxford
The applause for Jordan Banks, so emotional, really touching

We are just hearing the chant that I thought was the Nazi Sieg Heil last time we were there. Apparently it’s Seaside.

Re: Blackpool v Oxford
Too little too late for Oxford, but it's been a cracking tie, well done to Agyei for his assist, but sadly for him he'll not be walking out at Wembley.

Re: Blackpool v Oxford
Surprising because he's got the ability to be a decent League 1 player, and even in his brief cameo tonight he's displayed he can impact a game.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 9:34 pmAgyei has made 52 league appearances for Oxford in two years but only 12 of those are starts.

Well done Blackpool. Now let's see if Morecambe can join them.

Re: Blackpool v Oxford
I genuinely worry about football at the moment, the lack of quality referees is as low as I can ever remember. I know it's a tough gig though and I'm not sure what can be done to help them (especially as VARce is only in the PL)

He used to be in the Premier League but was demoted.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 9:54 pmI genuinely worry about football at the moment, the lack of quality referees is as low as I can ever remember. Re: Blackpool v Oxford
After what they went through with the Oystons I think Blackpool really deserve a bit of good fortune.

Fully agreed.... and I'm surprised their fans are being slated. Always a good atmosphere against them and so glad they got rid of The Oystons.

Re: Blackpool v Oxford
Tony --he is and always has been a hit or miss referee.
i thought that he was OK tonight and tried to let the game flow as much as possible with tackles going in, as you would expect in what was really a semi-final. He took action when he needed to and was not silly in issuing cards just because a player rolled around a bit.
That game tonight, with a PL referee in charge and VAR, would probably have endded up with dismissals and more cautions whic hwould have been totally unnecessary.
Stroud will not improve --he has been around too long.
