Poor goalkeeping
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
You just knew Norris wouldn’t save that. I’m sorry but he’s no good.

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
even with 5 in midfield we still leave spaces open. And our centre halves continue to back off. How many goals this season have we let in like this: backing off, players with space to run forward to.....very poor.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
What a ******* joke that goalkeeping was

Appalling GK.
We desperately need a 2nd choice keeper and ship these two out ASAP.
Norris is the worst keeper to play for us in a very long time...

Shades of Wayne Russell to his performances so far.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Shocking goalkeeping.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Midfield absolutely shambolic there. No picking up or closing down.
Norris hopeless.

That was dreadful goalkeeping. I think BPF saves that nevermind Pope.

Awful from Norris but to be fair nobody closed him at all. He telegraphed that shot so much he sent it by Classical runner

Newcastle ahead at Fulham, guess who yes Joe Willock again, what a signing he's been for them, and no wonder they went to make it permanent, 7 games on the spin he's scored in now.

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Once again all covering and no closing down. Shows we rely so much on Pope making those saves.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Defence werre equally guilty for standing off and letting him have a free shot. We definitely need better cover in goal and defence.

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Four shots on target against Norris so far this week, four goals conceded
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Terrible keeping and where the hell was Dunne running!? Dunne’s run opened up the space for the shot but the keeping was dismal.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
I think his record is now 4 shots 4 goals conceded

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Whilst Norris was awful, he could expect someone to bother getting within 5 yards of the attacker
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
How many goals this season has there been with us backing off?
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Dyche not selecting Vydra and going one upfront is shocking in a game like this

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Goal keeper should have done better but what about the centre halfs backing off. Ffs go and close it down
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Dunne looks so disinterested, and it was is ball to close down for the goal
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
He's saved a shot on target....get in
5 shots on target 4 goals

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
I’m sorry but, many people don’t rate BPF, but he’s head and shoulders better than Norris

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
I'm amazed he played him again after the other night. Any keeper can concede, but I've never seen anyone look so nervous, even before a ball was kicked. He will never make it at this level I'm afraid, and we need a better back up to BPF.
That said, why do we insist on backing off to players running at us, someone should go to him, even if it's just to slow his progress. Really poor defending all round

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Yet again we concede from letting a player run at us and back off and back off. Put a challenge in, close him down. Lost count the number of goals conceded in this way.
8 conceded in 3 games now.
Attacking play no pace and no creativity. Just hit it high to Wood and hope.

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Taxi for Norris definitely, and the jury's still out on BPF, but he's got plenty to prove if he wants to remain at Burnley.
Equally that goal can't be totally attributed to him, where was the closing down from anyone.

Poor attempt by the goalkeeper. They will feel confident to shoot at will from now on.
Did you see what I did there?

Yep someone needs to move forward, someone covers. Basic defending. We can't afford to drop off with Norris in goal.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 4:31 pmI'm amazed he played him again after the other night. How on earth has Norris found himself ahead of BPF.
The guy is clearly lower league fodder.

Get this season done with, get the squad fit and for God’s sake make some bloody signings.

Back to the old lump it into the box for Wood with Vydra missing. Pretty awful to watch for the neutral let alone the fans.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Wood without Vydra is like a cart with no horse !

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Poor goalkeeping - you don't expect shots from that distance to go in.
I seem to recall that was something Dyche has said historically when we went through a period of conceding like this. Don't know why but I seem to recall it being a game against Sunderland that we had.
Up to that point - no team had really had a chance.

Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Sometimes you just have to wonder about Dyches logic
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Westwood just twatting it anywhere
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Just no more like Norris and Stephens.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
I think even Mark Kendall looked better. Since Tony Woodworth maybe.burnley007 wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 4:27 pmAppalling GK.

Dreadful game. I knew we would make hard work of this.
Re: Sheffield United vs Burnley | Match day thread
Horrific.
And just for ur information another goal where a player ran from centre of field. No tackle from 2 centre half again tarkowski backing off. Very similar to first against Leeds.

I am not sure who told Jimmy Dunne that he was Rio Ferdinand, but please can one of his current coaches tell him to not attempt ridiculous backheels on the edge of his own box.
Off the woodwork following that. Ridiculous.
