Your Highlight of the Season
(Apart from actually staying up, that is)
The most enjoyable for me has to be the win at Arsenal.
We owed 'em.

Lowton's goal at Palace.
Thought we were fantastic in that game too.

Re: Your Highlight of the Season
Tough to pick one, but I've got to plump for Dwight's goal at Everton, and that win pretty much secured our place at the top table for another season, so that's why it gets my vote.

Watching the kids give it a real go against Millwall in the cup - it feels a long time back now. absolutely nothing else has been anything approaching as enjoyable as that 90 mins, possibly because there was no real pressure on the result

The moment it was confirmed ALK had taken control, as at that time I thought under MG we were doomed and dying a slow and painful death.
We now have hope, and SD seems delighted the last chap has done, which can only be a good thing.

Re: Your Highlight of the Season
I'm glad it's over, it's hard to enjoy what has basically been a season manufactured for the benefit of TV and the companies which advertise on it.
So my highlight has to be the final whistle at Sheffield today.

Win at Anfield for the club. On a personal level, getting back into Turf Moor last week

I have to admit to being in the " lose with a good performance " camp, rather than the " win by using the get out of jail card " but a win against Arsenal by any means was the most satisfying moment of the season for me.

Re: Your Highlight of the Season
Not too many have chosen it but the win against Fulham felt satisfying. Despite the tough season, we showed that game why we are Premier League and showed our class against opposition aspiring to be a solid Premier League team.
New challenges are coming but with Dyche at the helm and some squad reinforcements in the Summer, I'm confident we can keep moving forward.

Winning at Arsenal & Liverpool (although a bit taken off both wins by not being there) and the performances at Everton & Wolves.
Special mention to the match threads too, been some brilliant ones to read after a defeat this season.

Re: Your Highlight of the Season
For me Vydra, in some ways more than Wood who we always knew had it in him. Vydra is the only man in the team other than McNeil and Taylor, who I feel can get better. He offers something vey different particularly when we are so intent at lumping long balls forward to our front strikers. I say this not having had much faith in him prior to this year, but he is a defenders nightmare
Re: Your Highlight of the Season
1. Beating Arsenal. Waited for years for that.
2. Beating Liverpool. Almost as good as (1)
3. The win at Wolves was Burnley at their best. Fantastic performance.

Re: Your Highlight of the Season
Lots in there if you're willing to look.
Victory at Anfield was huge. You're not going to go there, dominate play and roll them over, but to dig in, fight, work and then score a winner was fantastic.
Villa at home, a game of 2 halves, with some fantastic football.
Everton away, a very good performance, with lots of good football on show, and a brilliant goal from Dwight McNeill, similarly the performance at Crystal Palace with Lowton's goal.
It's always brilliant to watch the centre halves and goalkeeper. They're genuinely the best we're likely to see as a unit.
Chris Wood getting double figures again, a rarefied achievement to do that for 4 successive seasons. Outstanding.
Ben Mee's leadership on and off the field. A beacon of good morals, and doing things the right way. A shining light for the club.
As I said, plenty to see if you're willing to look. As Stan once said, 2 men look out from prison bars, one sees the stars, the other sees the gutter.
Personal highlight was Chris Wood's hat trick at Wolves. He takes plenty of stick from Burnley fans, some of whom are keen to spend a great deal of time pointing out the things he can't do, but spend a fraction of the time talking about the things that he does better than most in the division. To have player of such potency and threat in the side is incredible, and seeing him score that hat trick was a real highlight.

The performance at Wolves was fantastic along with the wins at Everton, Arsenal and Palace. The Liverpool result whilst fantastic was somewhat overshadowed by them rolling over to anyone and everyone following our moment of magic.
