Well played Lancashire, no disputing the win was deserved, from the bits that I saw (not that I subjected myself to much of it).

At least we made you grovel for it.

No arguments from me, we'll see what happens in the contests later in the Summer.

An innings and 79 runs and Lancs grovelled for the win? Oh dear!

No grovelling, just judged to perfection.... Yorkshire reduced to just blocking..... whilst Lancashire's constantly under rated players performed at a good level. Bohannon, Saq, Bailey and Parkinson outstanding..... meanwhile Yorkshire have paid a decent amount of money for a Traffic Cone..... he doesn't threaten with the ball, and whilst he got a few runs with the bat, he barely hits it off the square.

For 7 of your 8 titles, Arthur Askey was the country's leading comedian and Mussolini was just appearing on our intelligence services radar as an upcoming threat.

It's another day on the history channel..... meanwhile, in the modern, tolerant world of Sky Sports Cricket, Lancashire win again.....

By that reckoning, we shouldn’t be proud of what our football club has achieved.

Burnley are the best they've been in my life time...... and Lancashire won their last game.

History's nice....... but the present is better. Much better.

Yorkshire CCC.... stuck in the past.

I received this email from an ex-work colleague and Yorkshire cricketer on Thursday.

" I wondered if you’d been to Old Trafford today? Poor effort on Yorkshire’s part, weak batting line up!! Young Fraine at 3 for us isn’t good enough for one; I used to play against his dad and uncle and I believe they were better than him in their prime, that’s at club cricket level. But good luck to the kid he may prove me wrong!!"

I hope he isn't holding his breath.
