Bradley Orr & Magna Carta

Post by Rowls » Wed Jun 02, 2021 7:12 am

Ex loan player and ex Rovers player Bradley Orr has been busy with legal matters.

Like a footballing “Rumpole of the Bailey”, he’s been invoking the Magna Carta in defence of breaking COVID restrictions.

This sounds like the kind of decision you make if you ask for legal advice on a football forum.

The old Magna Carta defence - it has never, ever, ever worked - ever - and yet people keep trotting it out.

Doubt that, since most people who have challenged Covid Laws have been Crowdfunded, with profits going to charity.

He should have turned up at Court!! He will now have to pay to appeal to the Crown Court. Presumably the CPS have reviewed his case before it was proved in his absence and the legal adviser at Court will have given their advice about there should be a conviction or not so I think he’s out of luck

Bradley was actually down the local library searching for archaic by-laws and struck gold when he found this from 1689:

“Neither govvournement norre kynge shalle carry in the kyngdome of God alle-mighty the povver to foreclose in cases of pestilence norre plague any such softe playe areas in the borough”.

Check mate to Bradders, methinks.
