Jack Rodwell Free
Only joking, I wouldn't put him in our U15s.
Post really about how life is unpredictable, and what sort of demons was/is he carrying to fall off a cliff like that.
Since appearing for Everton at a very young age he's played
Everton played 85 in 5 years
Citeh played 16 in 2
Sun'land played 67 in 4, some in league 1
Bastards played 21 in 1
Sabbatical 1 year
Sheff U played 1 in 1
Collected 3 full England caps as well, God knows how.
Still only 30 which isn't old by today's standards, yet released yet again.
It might be of his own doing, but I can't help feel sorry for him

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
Was an excellent prospect but injury has ruined his career. He’s made plenty of cash though.

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
Made a fortune at Sunderland, even in league 1.
Bizarre that he was never picked, despite apparently being fit.
Looked a real prospect at Everton.
Nothing to feel sorry about for him, he's loaded and some club will try their luck with him, same way that belm Ravel keeps finding clubs.

What league are Sabbatical in? A year long season is brutal

With all thats gone on and is going on in the world, I must admit feeling sorry for Jack Rodwell hasn't particularly crossed my mind.

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
He shat on Sunderland big time
They offered him a large payoff yet he chose to stay and take a wage while not playing
Absolutely no shame. He knew the club was near bankruptcy but held out for his wages while others took pay cuts

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
He sold his career for cash, cash he'd have likely have made anyway in the long term if he made correct choices.

He was honouring the contract they signed him on. It was their choice not to play him.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 12:25 pmHe shat on Sunderland big time

Also their choice to not have relegation clauses in their contracts and why they were still paying him silly money in league 1claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 1:03 pmHe was honouring the contract they signed him on. It was their choice not to play him.
Re: Jack Rodwell Free
I would rather have Billy Rodaway
Re: Jack Rodwell Free
Still cannot believe Sheffield United took him on.

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
First season he had Henderson in the nets with a good defence in front of him and plenty of goals from midfield.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 7:50 pmThink wilder had a few brain farts going on towards the end, the transition from 1 brilliant season to the last 1 just gone was bizarre.
This time they had Ramsdale in the nets with a banged up defence in front of him and hardly any goals from anywhere. Shame for them but it kept us up.

Next stop the MLS, China, or the Middle East

Re: Jack Rodwell Free
Wrong hemisphere with that one.
He randomly ended up at Western Sydney Wanderers, made 14 appearances, scoring 3 goals and has now joined Sydney FC.
