Great news! Fingers crossed there’s no last minute hitches.
Great that he’s staying but more importantly he must have had assurances about transfer funds being available.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Absolutely massive if true, could set us up at the top table for another half decade.
The fact Dyche might sign this even including a larger buy out is a huge show of faith in the club and Alan Pace from him.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Could this be plot by Dyche to get his potential new employers (could be a couple) to speed things up and increase their £?
Sorry, I am just that way out today. Hopefully it's good news but the cynic in me.....

Interesting if true.
Early days but no sign yet of key players heading for the exit.

This would be tremendous news and the best thing that could happen to the club. Surely it would also mean he has been promised a good transfer budget this summer.

If that was the case presumably Dyche would just say to his new club that he won't be signing another contract with Burnley.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 8:23 amThe revealing of the increased buy out clause does make me suspicious of this.

Would an increased buy out clause act as much of a deterrent when you see how much clubs are willing to pay for mediocre players?

I’ll be happy once it’s actually signed. I feel like we’re 1-0 up in injury time.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
If he now starts to get backing it will feel like a "new club" to him. He will have a new challenge now to take us forward. If we can fill the right positions with the right players it will be a less anxious season.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Not exactly breaking news.
It's been said by Nixon and others that the deals been agreed just not signed for a few weeks.
CT confirmed there was no delay on here as well.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Absolutely massive news, if true. Made my Sunday. We should be aiming for a decade in the perm now.
You’d assume he’s fairly confident about forthcoming investment if he’s signing a new deal. And hopefully the larger compensation fee will deter constant speculation linking him elsewhere.

I know some have already been back on The Turf, but I can’t wait for the new season when hopefully we can all be there........celebrate all those key workers who have got us through the past 18m.........and applaud Dyche as he strides purposefully across the pitch!!!

If true, this is a big step forward. But it's best to be cautious for now until any announcement is made.
Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Fingers crossed it happens, especially with several clubs looking for new managers. This would be our best signing of the summer if it happens, and it would show Sean Dyche’s faith in the new owners plans.

Be a major statement of intent, and by far the best signing we could make right now.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
A fax machine? They used to use faxes in a pre-internet era, 20+ years ago.
It's all apps and smartphones these days, isn't it?
I hear ALK are launching AICoach, the coach/manager version of AIScout. The pro version has a "sign/extend your new contract" facility.
UTC
EDIT: I hear they've already sold beta version to Crystal Palace, Spurs, Wolves, Everton and a few clubs in Spain, France, Italy, Germany. (Sean Dyche's profile was blocked on the beta).
They also have an AIAgent app, though Alan Pace wants to launch it with all fees paid by the player and no cost to the club.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
Am I right in thinking that the buyout clause was related to the length of the contract? I seem to remember it being something like 3m a year over the course of the contract so if he signs a 3 year deal it's 9m or 4 year deal it would be 12m. Even if they changed it to be less per year it's quite likely that the buy out clause would be more after than it is now.
I'll be really pleased if this happens.

Re: Dyche to sign new contract !
The cynic in me tells me that contract extensions are more about better business for the exit, rather than loyalty.
The opening paragraph saying he’s going to sign it in 72 hours sounds more like a planted ‘come and get me’ plea.

you may want to build a basic salary increase into that - which is quite likely, Pace appears to like our gearing in regard to bonuses thoughdibraidio wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:08 amAm I right in thinking that the buyout clause was related to the length of the contract? As has been alluded to on the thread, it looks like the owners have made commitments around new squad additions, changes in the structures at Gawthorpe and probably on the player support side that Dyche has been talking about in the last few months. I do wonder what this actually means to our financial position, with all the outstanding financial commitments and likely low cash position, ALK came into ownership of the club quite possibly with not spending a penny of their own money in the acquisition (as I have previously demonstrated) have committed extraordinary amounts of monies on the clubs behalf (and appear to be committing much more) to non football/revenue generating activities and are now appearing to commit to spend substantial amounts around the club, that will have implications for years to come. Revenues are substantially down on last year (probably below those of 2016/17) wages are high ( likely to be at 70% or more) and our dependency on broadcast payments have never been higher.
There is much for ALK and friends to do on revenue generation if Checketts is not to lose his third sporting franchise through lack of funds.
