Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
Thought this was going to be along the lines of “not going out in the group stage” or “not losing on penalties in the semi final”

Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
Thanks for the link. I’ve just joined as West Whinners. This will be my first time ever playing fantasy football so I’m pretty clueless as to how it works. Anyone able to enlighten me as to when I can swap players etc? Do you wait until the first round of games is completed, how many transfers can you make?Any tips gratefully received.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 5:15 pmLink: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020 ... ll/leagues

Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
It was set up last week with the view to us having the fantasy fundraising. With no real interest in that if anyone wants to join then by all means do.
Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
I'll try to post the rules later but the transfer and substitution rules seems a little bit complicated!chekhov wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 9:39 amThanks for the link. I’ve just joined as West Whinners. Substitutions
Manual substitutions
Between matchdays, you can make as many subs within your squad as you like.
After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches within that matchday kick off, you can:
Sub out a maximum of four players (unless they've been sent off), and replace them with any of your substitutes whose teams are yet to play within the matchday. Any players that you sub out will score zero points for that matchday
Change your captain to another player from your squad whose team are yet to play. Your original captain's double-points bonus will be lost, and your new captain's score for that matchday will be doubled.
Bear in mind that:
Once you confirm your subs or change of captain, those changes can't be reversed
Once the games on the final day of the matchday have kicked off, you can't make changes to your team. Any changes you make will only be applied to the next matchday
Once you've made manual substitutions or changed your captain within a matchday, if any of your starting XI don't play in real life, they won’t be automatically subbed out. Have a look at the section about automatic substitutions for more information
TIP: Because you can make subs mid-matchday, try picking a squad with a balance of players in action over the various days within the matchday. That way, if your initial players don't perform, you can sub them out for players you think will have a better chance of getting you more points.
Automatic substitutions
If you don't make any substitutions or change your captain within a matchday, some of your players might be automatically subbed out.
You can order your substitutes by priority in case any of your starting XI doesn't play that matchday.
If your goalkeeper doesn't play in a matchday, then your replacement goalkeeper will be substituted in, as long as he has played
If any of your starting outfield players don't play in a matchday, they'll be automatically subbed out. The player subbed in will be the highest-priority substitute who has played in the matchday, and whose substitution doesn't break formation rules
If you switch the priority order of your subs once a matchday has started, that will count as a manual substitution and no automatic substitutions will kick in for the remainder of that matchday.
Remember that your XI always has to have one goalkeeper, at least three defenders, at least two midfielders and at least one forward. So for example, if your starting XI has three defenders and one of those defenders doesn't play in a matchday, he’ll be subbed out for the highest-priority defender on your bench.
Making transfers
Transferring players in and out of your squad helps you get more points throughout the tournament.
Before EURO 2020 kicks off, you can make as many transfers as you like as long as you stay within the budget. You can also make as many transfers as you like between the group stage and round of 16.
Throughout the competition, you get free transfers each matchday. The number of free transfers you can make depends on the stage of the tournament.
For every transfer you make beyond your quota of free transfers, you'll have four points deducted from your points total.
Phase Number of free transfers
Before tournament starts Unlimited
During group stage 2 per matchday
Before round of 16 Unlimited
Before quarter-finals 3
Before semi-finals 5
Before final 5
If you don't use your free transfers between matchdays, you'll only be able to carry one forward to the next matchday – meaning you can't stockpile free transfers over several rounds. If you use your Wildcard or Limitless chip, then no free transfers get carried forward. And once the knockout stage starts, you can’t carry any free transfers forward between matchdays.
Chips
Chips allow you to make unlimited changes to your squad. You get two chips, which you can play once each throughout the competition.
Who makes your EURO 2020 Fantasy Football line-up?
Wildcard
The Wildcard gives you the chance to change your squad as much as you like. When you play it you can make free unlimited transfers, and any players you transfer in will stay in your squad once that matchday has finished.
The normal rules for automatic substitutions, manual substitutions and captain changes still apply when playing your Wildcard, as well as formation constraints and the number of players you can pick from one team.
If you've already made transfers ahead of a matchday and you then play your Wildcard, the transfers you've made previously will be cancelled, along with any points deductions.
To play your Wildcard, select 'Activate wildcard' and then confirm the transfers you'd like to make.
This chip can be used only once. Once you've played it, it can't be cancelled.
Limitless
Limitless gives you the chance to change your squad for one matchday only. When you play it, you get unlimited free transfers for that matchday with no budget restrictions. Once the matchday has finished, your squad will return to how it was before you played Limitless.
The normal rules for automatic substitutions, manual substitutions and captain changes still apply when playing Limitless, as well as formation constraints and the number of players you can pick from one team.
If you've already made transfers ahead of a matchday and you then play Limitless, the transfers you've made previously will be cancelled, along with any points deductions.
To play your Limitless, select 'Activate Limitless' and then confirm the transfers you'd like to make.
This chip can be used only once. Once you've played it, it can't be cancelled.

Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
I have trouble getting my head around Fantasy PL but this looks way too complicated!
Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
I've joined, but the number of unlimitless substitution formulas make the thing a little bit ridiculous. If it was a full Premier league season, that would be too much, but there are only 5 "match days"

Have donnaruma and immobile so good start for me.
Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
I had Soyuncu in my starting 11 but seeing as he scored 0 points I've now substituted him. (seems a weird rule that you're allowed to do that after a player has already played!)

Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
My team has yet to score a goal so I am pleasantly surprised to be as high as 2nd bottom
Re: Euro 2020 Fantasy
Anyone got any idea how you use Limitless? I know what it is but can't find anything to click on to use it!
