What a pleasure and a privilage to have watched Nadal and Djorkovic tonight, 2 sportsmen at the top of their game, at times almost brutal, the tie-break at the end of the 3rd set was something special

Big win for Novak especially on the Paris clay, and a rare defeat in France for Rafa, these two are masters of their craft and we should be privileged to see them at their best while they are still playing.

Fantastic match and two brilliant players.
Switched over from the footie and didn't switch back
until the end.

Brilliant match to watch.
Can't take your eyes off it.
Another great classic in a long line of great classics between these two.

Great touch by the local authorities to extend the 11 o'clock limit for staying out!
Would have been criminal not to let the crowd stay and watch to the end.

They are past their best now but the last 15 years with Federer, Nadal, Djoko & Murray will never be bettered. 4 great guys, 4 phenomenal athletes and each having a preferred surface.
I’d like to thank them all.

You say they're past their best, but they keep reeling off the slams don't they, so what that says about the young pretenders I don't know, this era must be unique to get 4 guys playing at such a high level year after year, you sometimes get a couple of world class players competing to be the best, but rarely 4 all playing at the same time, and in one sense Andy Murray can consider himself unlucky he's around in such a great era for male tennis players, as probably in any other era he'd have won a lot more grand slam titles, but the competition has been so fierce between this quartet that it's made it a heck of a lot tougher to get your mitts on any majors.

You can never be certain what the future will hold, but if we experience an era with so many legends again I'll be surprised.

Was there a phone call to Macron in Cornwall to clear the breech of the Frnch Covid curfew....? The atmosphere was superb

To include Murray in the same sentence as other 3 is a joke.

Djokovic fights back from 2 sets down to lift the trophy he's some athlete isn't he, Novak now just one GS shy of Federer and Nadal, and poised to equal them on 20 should he triumph at Wimbledon, it's crazy really that 3 guys can have amassed nearly 60 Grand Slams between them.

Soon as it went to a 5th set there was an air of inevitability about it, although I was still hoping Tsisipas could pull it off.
Djokovic is so fit he looks like he's got plenty left in the tank yet, whereas Federer and Nadal are just about done I think. I wouldn't be surprised if Federer has one final go at Wimbledon this summer then calls it a day.
