Ritson v Ponce
Ritson v Ponce
Ritson getting battered, his corner throws in the towel and the ref refuses to acknowledge and throws the towel back out of the ring. I mean WTF
Ritson then endures another battering until the ref stops the fight. Worst ref I have ever seen

Ritson is another Hearn hype job unfortunately. Great at smashing up lower domestic level fighters but that’s it.
Feel a bit for him as he seems a top lad aswell.

Re: Ritson v Ponce
Very poor from the referee… but equally poor from the corner tbh. One (or both) of them should have stepped in the ring after the ref ignored the towel. The role of the corner men is to look after their man as best they can, they tried by throwing in the towel when he was being battered, but they allowed the ref to somehow over rule it! That ref should never be allowed to ref again.
Thankfully he wasn’t badly hurt, but he could have been.

I’ve never watched him since he got outboxed by that Italian journeyman who was at the end of his career, you knew then he wasn’t going to do out special. A bit like David price when Tony Thompson beat him twice you know they have nothing then.

The Italian guy who’s actually Belgian, Patera. Actually he was a decent level EU fighter in fairness.
My favourite memory of Ristson was stopping Scott Cardle.
