There's some strange stuff on this thread.

Not much mention of that fact that it was about 30 degree heat at Wembley today.
Oh, I think there was. They wouldn't shut up about it.

I’m not joining & protesting in groups such as WLM in my mind everybody should be equal, no race should be better than any others, it’s a problem when you are saying BLM when all lives should matter. 1 race is saying it should matter we should all be equal.

That got my back up initially with the woke/BLM retort I didn’t want to deflect this into another BLM thread that’s why I never mentioned this directly, anyway it’s unfair to I’d rather talk about the football specifically England & Croatia, like I said I’m not protesting WLM I think we should all be equal, Tyrone mings is with the BLM saying his race matters that’s not me, wrong guy. Goodnight for good.

No you're just defending the abuse of black footballers on the iinternet. I recall a complete lack of sympathy for Marcus Rashfords abuse as well.

If you're not prepared to call out racism against black people but can't shut up when people protest against the injustices black people face you've made your position clear.

Edit: a wander through your post history also shows you defending Tommy Robinson and his fans, Donald Trump, Katie Hopkins, Godfrey Bloom from allegations of racism. Downplaying racial abuse of Marcus Rashford, Danny Rose.

The people you have been happy to suggest are racist are Tyrone Mings and Barack Obama...

There seems to be a basic lack of understanding of the phrase "black lives matter". It isn't "black lives matter more". In a football context, no player derseves getting bananas thrown at them, or horrible insults thrown their way because of the colour of their skin. And I ignore the societal context to keep it simple, but if you believe no player should be subject to that abuse then why undermine it. I can see that for some people, they see groups of their own ethnicity being treated poorly, either by government or society in some way. But those causes, be them absolutely valid or otherwise, aren't or shouldn't be a reason to stand stead against another cause battling to stop the abuse of the black community. Support it, and where you see other injustices support those too. You don't have to slate one campaign to make your voice heard about another.

I believe in a fair equal society without excluding other races, if you can’t understand that concept that’s down to your education or should I say lack of it, all lives matter regardless of colour.

A fair and equal society where it's ok to abuse black people because they have the "wilfully invited" it by having a twitter account?

Mings is exceptional or Maguire won't walk straight back in the side once fit

It’s not an anti racism gesture ( 99.9% not) that people object to ,it’s the rather bizzare issue of telling the 10’s of millions of English football fans they’re racist when we have ( for donkeys yes now) had the most tolerant supportive non racist fans and grounds in world football . Some ignorant drunken friendless loser sending a banana emoji to Rash/Sterling etc does NOT mean English fans are racists . We’re a hugely tolerant country and a murderous American cops behaviour shouldn’t dictate how we’re told to act .

If Mings has another good game against Scotland it will be difficult for Southgate to drop him.

If Mings is man of the match in the next 2 games and then Maguire is fit after the group stage, Maguire walks straight back in.

Fair enough,

I have been seriously impressed with Mings. He has got absolutely everything. Just needs to stop being clumsy and he will be a top CB.

His pace and power surprised me.

I only watched from the 55th to 60th minute and thought we were absolutely superb 😅

I would say given his meteoric rise over the last 3 seasons he definitely can still be a top defender. He is improving all the time.

Does "clumsy" just mean limited ability?

If it is different, how does a player stop being clumsy?

Top defenders rarely make the mistakes he does. Look at the likes of Rio Ferdinand and John Terry. Two of England's finest, and you'll see what I mean.

As I’ve said before I think BLM are a racist organisation against white people, some white people are racist against black people, it is actually possible that some black people are racist against white people. It’s always talked about the white man being racist towards the black person, it’s never discussed it’s almost as if we don’t want to admit it happens the other way around through fear of offending, racism isn’t a 1 way street.

To be fair for all there ability, Mings has done something they never could.

He has kept a clean sheet and won the first game at the Euros.

In all seriousness Mings has been great with England.

He’s kept 9 clean sheets in 11 games

The irony is I think you’ve missed the point, that post wasn’t necessarily referring to mings within himself but the black people as a whole race, some black people are racist just as much as the white man is racist, we can pretend that’s not true or we could alternatively accept that as fact. Racism comes in all shapes & sizes & all colours unfortunately.

No-one is saying that 10s of millions of English football fans are racist. People are questioning the motives of a minority of people who think activiely opposi g an anti-predjudice awareness campaign is a generally alright thing to do and then wonder when they are asked if they support prejudice.

Saying that booing the taking the knee is effectively a strike against an injustice perpetrated against decent white people is bizarre.

I still have to see an explanation of why people who.purport to be against prejudice actually fight against an action that a group of people want to take to oppose prejudice. Its counter intuitive

I watched ITV for the game. I don't think they are racist but as a white man I felt under-represented in all the studio guests being black (Wright, Cole, Townsend, Aluko) plus 2 white women (an interviewer and Emma Hayes) & the white man presenter. Clearly, box ticking political correctness decisions. Can we now turn it on its head and say they are racist towards whites? There was no balance on that panel. I thought Hayes & Aluko were the most interesting and articulate to listen to. Wright & Cole unbearable. Why was Townsend there again?
I thought the whole point of this debate and social equality over the last few years has been to highlight balance and representation of society. I didn't see that there.
