New Balls for 2021
Below is the new 2021/22 Premier League ball - and apparently:
The base of the graphic is a black organic pattern inspired by the Premier League being one of the most exciting and connected leagues in the world.
The crimson circles drive enhanced visual performance, allowing the players to read the pace and spin of the ball, react quicker and feel confident in their decisions.

Re: New Balls for 2021
The tick is so big as it brings back childhood memories of being right and the 21-22 is nothing to do with the season, it’s a target for Nike inspired strikers as they drive there clubs to the ultimate glory.

Re: New Balls for 2021
It's when they start bringing the balls on with a remote controlled car that we should be worried, but of course nobody would be so stupid as to come up with that hair brained idea would they.

Re: New Balls for 2021
Some “woke” will be along in a minute complaining about how we are failing to understand the true meaning of the ball and how the intolerance to this new ball is quite staggering and a new low even for this forum. Paulclaret you should be ashamed.

It's the first time I've come across orange being described as crimson.
There was nothing crimson about the Mitre no. 3 we used in primary school.

It's the first time I've seen the colour black used for visibility?

The good news is that the crimson circles will also allow supporters to read the pace and spin of the ball allowing us more confidence when firing off obscenity laden criticism at a player whose overplaced confidence (brought on by the visually enhanced ball) has led them to a complete cock up!

Nasty. Might look better from a distance. Sometimes change just isn’t necessary. Wonder how much money was wasted paying someone to come up with that when it could have gone to a good cause.

Re: New Balls for 2021
I must admit, I liked the ball used during the second half of this season just gone. The ring design on it showed how much the ball was moving in action replays.
Re: New Balls for 2021
The supposed creative and artistic justification is just a narrative used to smuggle in brand awareness. If your reaction to the press release is to think, "huh, well that's stupid, and it looks ugly", then proceed to post a photo of a Nike logo on a public forum, I have some bad news: Nike is winning. This is just what Nike wants, because now people are looking at a Nike logo and associating it with elite sport.

They should have come up with a dazzle camouflage ball instead to trick players.

I’d have loved to practice my ‘trickery’ with a ball like that. Beats the Wembley Trophy.

What schizophrenic designed that thing ?
Also, how much was in the brown envelope to entice it's adoption for next season ?
