"Don't worry, everything's going to be OK.

You were led astray by Real Madrid and Juventus, you lost your nerve a bit, that's all.

You're never going to be European mainland Liverpool, Man U.

Don't worry I know UEFA, I know what to say.

We'll have a good European Championships, think of the small fine as a goodwill gesture, it'll be a good Premier League next season, more big clubs to make a good party, Leeds and Everton, Aston Villa."

Have a good summer and when you get back training you'll feel new again."

Looking forward to Brentford away. New ground, reasonably local, good pubs and i work with a Brentford season ticket holder so likely we will make a day of it in London. 3pm Saturday kick off in August/April if you please, which guarantees a 20:00 Monday kick off in January.....

Are we going to have a "leaked fixtures" prank this year?

That's always hilarious.

I used to relish fixture day but they're just a rough guide nowadays. You certainly can't make solid plans around them like hotels and train tickets to Newcastle

It's just an order the fixtures are likely to be played in but there are still eagerly awaited dates such as start/end/Christmas etc.

What's the best place on line to check for our fixtures - when I say 'best', I probably mean 'quickest'?

Had a fabulous day out that day. Met and had a chat with Roger Eli at Hartshead Moor services waiting for the team bus to pick him up. Drank several pints of cask Tetley pre game. Had 3 wonderful pies on the game to quench the beer hunger. Billy Whitehurst got sent off. We won 4-1. And it was a beautiful sunny day.

The maxim remains the same, avoid the newly promoted sides in the first five games, on the other side of it we need a couple of fixtures against the top sides who will be resting players post Euros.

Couple of winnable home games in the first few weeks please, just so we can get the monkey of our porous home form of our back of nothing else.

Is it better to play the newly promoted sides early doors, I can see the arguments for and against, but whenever we meet them we'll desperately need to improve on this season's average showing, only 1 win out of 6 against the newly promoted teams last season, and just 6/18 points collected, we really can't afford to be so generous next season, as we're unlikely to pull off the same surprise results that we did last term in winning at Arsenal, Everton & Liverpool, if we pick up points in those fixtures then great it's a bonus, but our bread and butter will always be the games against those teams most likely to be in and around the bottom 3, and you'd expect all 3 promoted sides to be among those strugglers, therefore it's imperative that we rack up plenty of points against them as we generally have during our current 5 year stint in the PL.

I get the argument that the top sides will be resting players, but most if not all those sides have the strength in depth to still field strong line-up's, and ideally we won't get hit with Leicester, Chelsea, Spurs & City again in the first couple of months as it's vital we put early points on the board something which we of course failed miserably to do last season, and left us playing catch up for a large segment of the campaign, we certainly don't want to put ourselves in a similar predicament next season, hence the need for a few early morale boosting victories.
